  1. Just played part II through to the end for the first time, had no idea the last third was vocal, nice one Roger
  2. It's a great record, got the VJ demo myself, but what is that Bunky's pick all about ? Best Dave
  3. Had a nice lady ring twice today enquiring about the next Warwick Night. She said the Duffy track got her and 3 mates think about Northern Soul, then luckily she spotted our flyer in the Club on another night out. She is intrigued by the dancing, obviously from the Duffy video. So we have 4 Nurses from our medical pactice coming, and I've taken the trouble of doing CD's and playlist to sample. We also have a few young 'uns at WSC, all sons and daughters and regulars at our do's, but also now wanting to travel, so have a few coming to Banbury on Saturday, and they'll be up dancing. The more exposure Duffy or Amy can give our scene the better chance it has of surviving us imo. Best, Dave.
  4. Check your pm mate
  5. Terrible news, I do hope he can make a full recover from this. Chalky please pass bestwishes from all involved at Warwick Soul Club, me and Tabs met him briefly, and he was great. He gave everyone who saw him an example of his quality at the Stables, certainly something I personally will never forget, be great if he were to perfom again.

If it was a state of the art music system, this was more than let down by the fact the beer was JW Lees from Oldham, and if you thought the beer was bad, then you needed to try the cider, shocking The only good nite I had there was when Burnley FC unexpectedly beat Preston to get to the final of the Sherpa Van Trophy which was at Wembley 1988 against Wolves. The current chairman - Teasdale, and the team came in to celebrate what turned out to be a momentous win, very important for the club. Can still picture the champagne flowing, obviously knew to stick to the bottled stuff
