  1. Here's the 63rd installment of The Divine Chord Gospel Show which appears monthly on dublab.com, broadcast on 28th September 2016. We're proud to present a Summer Series of Soundclashes, focusing on 3 carefully chosen gospel collectors, & pitting their selections against those of your host, DJ Greg Belson. Glorious crossover tune....clip is for reference only and not from the copy on offer. Cheers!
  9. This just in....two years ago when Cultures of Soul approached me to compile a gospel disco album, I had no real idea of the work it would take to make the project a reality. The commitment, the time, the effort, of tracking down these amazing artists and releasing a set of music that speaks from the heart, mind and soul. Here we are in 2016, and I didn't anticipate the reactions it's been receiving....starting today, Lauren Laverne has confirmed 'Divine Disco' as her compilation of the week....that means peak time plays during the day, all week long, on a national broadcast service like BBC Radio 6 Music. I'm amazed and humbled...seriously. Thanks to everybody that's worked so hard to get the job done as well as those of you that have actually supported and bought the release itself....my cap is seriously doffed!
  10. We're proud to present a Summer Series of Soundclashes, focusing on 3 carefully chosen gospel collectors, & pitting their selections against those of your host, DJ Greg Belson. For the 1st 2 hour session, stepping up to the plate is DJ Sebastian Gerstung, from Frankfurt, Germany. Seb's ear for the modern sounds is mature well past his years, and he's gifted with a quality 'diggers nose' to sniff out the previously unsniffable. A crackin' way to start off the Soundclash Series, so tune in here and take a trip with us....you know it makes sense. Join us for a two hour battle royal, as we ride the rhythms from soul to funk, sweet to deep, to the just plain good! Soul music so visceral, you won't know what's hitcha.

  17. Youtube seems to work by copyright infringement legalities ie some companies will allow the infringement, with the proviso that an advert is attached to your video. The account can have multiple strikes this way, but can still be active as it has permission to use the music. Larger corporations like Universal etc, usually impose an immediate cease and desist, with a request to move the video. If the user has 3 or more of these strikes, then Youtube can terminate your account. The way around that, is to just remove the 'offending' video.....but you don't see the notification unless you log onto the 'Video manager' page. JM loaded a grip of great music, which sadly looks like needed more management to sit within the Youtube boundaries.
  18. Steppin' back into the dublab arena last Friday, was my learned friend and wise UK hiphop sage, Mr Ollie Teeba....here's the archived two hour radio show, for your consideration.....beatscapes from Chicago, LA, London & Elsewhere, followed by 'Teeba's Secret Blend', before closing proceedings with a bout of rip snortin' r&b killers. 23. Delivery from California @ $4 within the US, $14 worldwide The Wings of Heaven - 'Coming to carry me home' (Wings) (VG- plays like a champ, please check the clip) Price in US DOLLARS = $90 Clip; https://db.tt/7S9J5CCE Here's a barn storming dancefloor shaking version of 'Sweet chariot'....super rare....never seen another copy for sale, so the price could be a stone cold bargain. Birmingham Traveleers – ‘Call me, answer’ (Birmingham Traveleers) VG- (some label damage) Price in US DOLLARS = $60 **SOLD** Clip; https://db.tt/6njhJrgH Storming funk cut with a slight modern touch. Club killer, no doubt. Plays great for the visual grade. The flipside is a bit of a mess, with the wax being heavily marked, and the labels badly trashed….like this was sitting on the end of a stack unsleeved at some point. Thankfully, that’s not the side you’re looking for! The McAllister Singers – ‘Pile of dust’ (Kable) VG+ Price in US DOLLARS = $40 **SOLD** Clip; https://db.tt/cxEPzuAJ Destined for bigger things IMO. High quality funky soul groove that should see some club action. Listed @ $50 elsewhere for a similar condition copy. David Epley with Bowen Sisters – ‘Wayfaring stranger’ (Good Shepherd) VG Price in US DOLLARS = $15 Clip; https://db.tt/vhjlN78b Nice left field version, that could be mentioned in the same breath as an Otis G. Johnson outing….taking a more ethereal approach. The Jackson Southernairs – ‘The bible will be fulfilled’ (Songbird) VG- Price in US DOLLARS = $20 Clip; https://db.tt/udd57oLg More quality from this ever consistent label…high in the more stakes, exquisite vocals and delivery from this class group. Exciting Toe Tapping Mar-Keys – ‘I know he’s real’ (Great Spiritual Productions) VG (some label dirt/minor wear) Price in US DOLLARS = $25 Clip; https://db.tt/6frPuKIl Quality mournful rarity out of Los Angeles CA. Tough one to source. The Soul Stirring Cannan Aires – ‘Stranger in the city’ (C & S) VG++ Price in US DOLLARS = $50 Clip; https://db.tt/Xhgt9xaV Beautiful, hard hitting ballad and in great shape…..quality 45 and tough to turn up, particularly in this condition.
