Virginia's Peerless Four offer up a cut from their collectible LP. Pt. 2 heads to the deep, dark & spiritual side of things, featuring some killer loner cuts from Otis G. Johnson & Ethel Profit. Truly amazing music! Pt. 3 gets all funked up with 2 cuts from the superb Su-Ann lanel. Baby Sister has been a bubbler in Euro clubland for some time, now featured here. Check out Clara Walker's fire & brimstone answer to JB's 'Say it loud' too.

Divine Chord Gospel Show pt. 59 mixcloud link
Please join me on dublab.com, Wednesday 25th May @ 2pm US PDT (10pm UK GMT), for another addition of the Divine Chord Gospel Show pt.59! https://dublab.com/ Kicking off at 2pm US PDT, we'll be highlighting a slew of discoveries onto the airwaves, bouncing around from uptempo soul & funk, to exquisite 'loner gospel' from the likes of Otis G. Johnson. We're one show away from celebrating our 5th year on air, so we'll be laying the foundations for what should be something special come June time. If you missed the last show, featuring a soundclash special with my guest Eli 'Papewrboy' Reed, then here's the archived mixcloud link to check out the goods.; Also, please feel free to explore and subscribe to our youtube channel featuring some of the choicest 45's to be played on the show. We've just surpassed our 200th video, so please check it out and subscribe here; https://www.youtube.com/user/DivineChordGospel/videos?flow=grid&view=0 For the second hour, I'll be exploring the world of 90's analogue beats one time, as part of the 'Time-Less' series. Tracks that were forward thinking in production techniques, ground breaking in textures & time signatures but yet often forgotten. With the 2000’s came the advent of more powerful computers, easier accessibility to software & an ease to create at home; beatmakers of the 90’s had to either adapt or fall by the wayside. We’ll be unearthing some of the cream of the crop, both the classic & the obscure, that still relied on outboard gear, physical mixing desks and insane wired up patch bays to get the job done. With it came a certain warmth, particularly when it was arguably the last bastion of dance music to promote, press and present their music solely onto vinyl….it’s within these grooves that we’d like to celebrate with you a time in beat making. To get a sample sip, check out pt. 2; Join us as we spin the original format of what truly was a ‘Time-Less’ age. Thanks everyone and see you there!

Divine Disco: American Gospel Music 1974-1984 Promo Mix

Hamilton Sisters cover up?
Absolutely ridiculous price tag....I'd be fuming if I paid up 750 quid and when I received it, did a quick google search to realize how easy it is to score a copy....both on LP and 45. Which version ? Joshua fit in the battle of Jericho'
Best version I've ever heard is by the Melodic Singers.....monster, IMO. Residing in only 3 collections, from my research.

New Discovery? Already Known? Blind Billy 45
Just resurrecting an old thread, as I can add to the Crown Ltd. discography; CROWN LTD. 115 - Silas Woodley - I have but one soul / Try a little Jesus Musically, it's a slow midtempo bluesy cut, backed with a similar tempo piano led, Ray Charles sound-a-like vocal. OK disc, but nothing special IMO.
