Hello DJ.....Moerer has shifted 2 copies on the bay more recently, both of which were VG- (and they sounded it.....pretty scratchy, from memory) and they went for around $700 a pop. Andy scored his copy from Craig before the last 2 went up on ebay. It appeared on a Soul Sam playlist about a year ago.....plus a buddy of mine picked up on it, and included it in a few online mixes. As far as exposure goes, that seems to be about it. Nice tune to start your set at Soulside with, mate!

A new monthly radio show hosted by myself on Dublab.com, dedicated to gospel soul, funk and spirituals from the 1960's thru to the 1980's. So I've got some info about her; I asked if Pam Kellum was a possible pseudonym for a known vocalist, and no, that's her real name. She hails from Long Beach, CA and was born there, so no transplant from another state....she's lived there all her life. She's a black vocalist and I'm working on finding out any further discography as a lead or backing singer, so I'll update with any further news as and when. Cheers.....

I know somebody who knows the drummer for the A&B sessions....he has a promo copy of a totally re-worked Buddy Ace 'Beggin,,,,,' cut - much heavier drums! If I can get hold of him, maybe he can shed some light on the mysterious Ms Kellum.

Some great stuff on all the Boddie related labels, but be weary of pressing condition. Some are good, some quite frankly aren't and the difference is pretty dramatic. The cut on Soul Kitchen currently going for big numbers is King James Version 'He's coming'......the backing band is the Ebony Rhythm Band and both sides are pretty brutal raw soul....uptempo and a ballad. Great disc!

Excellent mate - I feel exactly the same way.....there really is some sublime stuff locked away on tiny labels often released by the local church. And yes, the pure emotion blows me away too.
