We're into the last week in the build up to the much anticipated Debut Set of TOTW and Tony's DJ Legend Guy Hennigan. Our customary Monday Morning Banger and a record that would grace the dancefloor at any of the Iconic Venues on the Rare Soul Scene !!!

Our Resident Personal Trainer/Drummer and Whirling Dervish on the dancefloor Stu AKA Shovel, is taking a well earned night off from his extensive tour of The North West to join us, such is the pull of Club 101 and Guy Hennigan. Folk travelling from far and wide to join us, sounds like a good night, might try it myself !! This might get a spin from the multi talented Latin Soul Maestro Harvey Averne and a record that has been tagged "Ordinary Joe Part ii

Well I did say Our Ashton Ukrainian Mid Summer Equinox had the internet positively crackling in Anticipation, so much so the Soul-Source event page thread for the event has blown a fuse!! Temporary Glitch I'm sure, normal service will be resumed real soon!! **** Update link to Soul-Source event page now back online*** Meanwhile Guy Hennigan has proved to be the original Pied Piper of the scene, with lots and lots making their way to the North West for the event, no brainer really!! Lots of travellers from The North Wales Coast to support Steve Thomas , hope the bar can cope lol. Seriously a real feast of Rare Soul awaits on Saturday June 21st. Phil Dunn will be opening up the proceedings for those wanting to ensure a table, in the best atmosphere around. Ashton G.O.A.T Chris Churm and Team Ukrainian Press Officer Mick Howard complete a line up worthy of the event!! The night runs 7pm-00.30 and just £6 admission pay on the door(how do we do it?) Don't forget the Lounge/Bar Area is the place for Record Dealers and vinyl hounds, sniffing out the elusive bargain!! We're expecting a busy night, so please arrive early, to get in on the action. Quality night at Culcheth last night, from the off we were treated to a feast of Rare Soul in the main room. Great opening set from mine host Baz Maleady, Sammy Lee "what goes around" Joe Matthews "check yourself" not a bad selection for the first hour!! Bob Taylor followed making his debut and yet more quality Royal Esquires, the old "playing the part of a fool" still sounded the business!! Yours Truly followed and aimed to play a good across the board mix, aimed as ever at the dance floor. I'll post a play list later!! Highlight for me one Mick H handing over to Another Mick H, ex Lifeline main man, didn't disappoint Hopkins Brothers, Poets "wrapped around your finger" Arthur Willis and so many more. Steve Thomas is back on dry land from his sea faring travels with The Welsh Crazy Bus picking up along along The North Wales Coast. Amazing feedback with enquiries about what is shaping up to be a "you had to be there" kinda night !! Phil Dunn is back from his Wembley Football Visit Ssshh!! to kick start the night for the early arrivals.
