Saturday September 20th Ashton Ukrainian Club, presents a night of Rare and Underplayed Soul from the 60s/70s with that Old School Soul Club Vibe, from the halcyon days, with memories of iconic venues like Bretby, Albrighton, Lowton, Tony's, Burnley and so many more!!! Chris Anderton will be dipping into some of the big tunes from the aforementioned Clubs and of course a DAB of Crossover/70s Soul!! Michael Wilks "WILXY" delivered a real classy set last time out, more of the same sir!! Providing the energy early doors, we look forward to Stu Cheetham with a set heavily influenced from his time behind the decks at Burnley and a regular Niter Attendee at the much missed Tony's. Soul with attitude for the dancers, just how we like it. If you were at the recent Culcheth Dayer you'll be aware of the quality that Si Ingham brings to the occasion. He was the guiding light for the much missed Kenwood Suite at The Bury Town Hall Niters, those sessions still talked about in glowing terms!! Chris Churm and Phil Dunn complete another classy line up, as promised we have some more quality Guests booked for the coming months, more news of which, as we near the dates!! We're ending the week on a high, originally played in the Halcyon period of the mid 70s and even booted on a 45. In truth it was always an album track and WHAT an album "DAB of Soul" and as we have the man responsible for The DAB weekends it's only fitting Chris Anderton should include this in his playlist!!

Michael Wilks AKA Wilxy will be putting in the Motorway Mileage to join us behind the decks once again, such is the lure of The Ukrainian Club, as we tirelessly strive to showcase varied line ups and playlists to match, variety is the ethos we aim to provide!! Our Resident PT and ace percussionist Stu Cheetham is primed and ready with some Rare Soul 45s with attitude, aimed squarely at the dancers, always an entertaining 60 mins!! Chris Anderton is heading over to bring us some of the popular spins from the 90s Rare Soul Clubs, at Iconic Venues like Albrighton and Bretby, amongst others and a healthy DAB of 70s Soul. Michael Wilks AKA Wilxy is looking forward to his return set, after an entertaining spot last year, with huge nod to The Motor City in his extensive playlist!! Stu Cheetham is chomping at the bit, to get behind the decks once again. All Action Soul Music, you just gotta dance to!! Simon Ingham makes a welcome return, after a recent power house set at The Recent Whitchurch Soul Club event. Ending the week on a Banger, as played by The Finisher AKA Chris Churm at the August event, got to flip em over!!

Team Ukrainian complete the line up Stockport's finest Sound Engineer/Booking Agent and Vinyl Spinner of some Amazing 45s from the Rare as you Dare to the cheap and overlooked records, waiting to have their day.
