Once again a Staggering response already for our Saturday July 19th event at Ashton Ukrainian Club. Manchester really will be jumping as The Gallagher Brothers and Oasis are performing just up the road, in the Sunshiiiine. For the Rare Soul Fraternity Ashton is the place to be, with Scotland's finest Colin Law looking forward to his debut set with us. I've had a sneak preview of his selections and we're in for a treat!! Steve Foran resident at Stockport's Edgley Park Soul Club has some Stellar 45s for the Ashton Faithful to move and groove to!! William Mailey is loving his recent retirement and looking forward to his return set with us, again a real across the board selection from the whole spectrum of Rare Soul!! Team Ukrainian residents will be under pinning the event Phil Dunn kick starting the night Ashton G.O.A.T Chris Churm will be rounding the proceedings off, with his hugely popular last spot of the evening and Mick Howard will be somewhere in the middle, knitting it all together, once more, a great night in prospect!! The night runs 7pm-0.30 and just £6 admission pay on the door, is an absolute bargain, we think!! Jumping into July and heading towards our next event at Ashton Ukrainian Club. Saturday July 19th we are looking forward to True Soul records main man Colin Law, one of the stalwarts of the Shotts Niters and a regular fixture on the scene from The Casino, Stafford TOTW and many more. Originally from Bedford now resident in Stockport, with an amazing selection of Rare Soul 45s Steve Foran is making his DJ debut at Ashton, looking forward to that!! Wigan's William Mailey is making a welcome return behind the decks. Billy is a regular at the event and knows the score, once again, some show stopping 45s for the dancers. The main man behind The True Soul events in Scotland Mr Colin Law will be making his Ashton Debut, with a Treasure Trove of Rare Soul 45s that we just know you're gonna love !! Another Ashton Debutant, but no stranger to the event Steve Foran originally from Bedford but now resident in Sunny Stockport and one of the Resident DJs at Edgeley Park Soul Nights, with some amazing sounds aimed at the dancefloor!! Another Quality line up awaits The Ashton Faithful on Saturday July 19th after a Red Hot night at the June event!! Another couple of Ashton Debutant DJs on the line up!! The Main Man behind the True Soul Weekenders in Scotland Colin Law will be joining us, looking forward to that! We also have a regular at the Ukrainian making the short hop from Sunny Stockport, Steve Foran, some amazing playlists from The Edgeley Soul Club nights. Wigan's Billy Mailey, is loving his recent retirement, he also has an amazing array of Rare Soul 45s to WOW us with!! Looking like another quality event on the cards!!

Well on a sweltering hot night and another crazy busy Soul Event Calendar, we still had a busy old night. The really encouraging thing is when a few of our regulars were unable to attend, we had lots of new faces, eager to see what we're all about. Respect to the dancers, in the sauna like conditions, you did us proud!! Team Ukrainian Phil Dunn Chris Churm and Mick Howard covered the early part of the night, before Guy Hennigan took to the stage a couple of his recent finds really caught the ear "I love you 1,000 times and the awesome Westbrook Singers, mixed in with the evergreens, The Carressors, Johnny James and J.D. Abram "doctor of love" sounded good to these ears!! Steve Thomas played an amazing last hour spot, playing just what the dancefloor needed Jimmy Fraser, the timeless Latin Classic Tony Middleton "spanish maiden" and Crossover Class from Vickie Labbatt. Just a great night and if you weren't there, you missed a cracker. Looking forward to welcoming Scotland's finest Colin Law for our July event, more details, as we approach the event. The Weekend is finally here, our Mid Summer Soulstice is on the horizon. Really looking forward to Guy Hennigan's Ashton debut. This sounded rather good on Dean Anderson's "sound of soul " show last night and hoping to hear it bouncing out of the speakers at Ashton Ukrainian!!

The North West and Ashton Ukrainian Club is hot,hot,hot!! We are primed and ready for our Mid Summer Soulful Equinox, this Saturday June 21st. With a real special line up for The Ashton Faithful!! Guy Hennigan has a few new 45s to showcase, along with the evergreens from the Halcyon days of TOTW, Tony's, Shotts and many more!! With Steve Thomas and The North Wales Posse in The House, it's sure to be a memorable night for the assembled masses!! Incredible feedback for this event, with I'm sure a who's who of scene faces in attendance!! Phil Dunn will be opening the proceeding as we hit the ground running with Team Ukrainian residents Chris Churm and Mick Howard taking care of your business for the early part of the night!! The night runs 7pm-00.30 and just £6 admission pay on the door. The lounge/bar area doubles as a chillout/record bar area and a great place to catch up and swap stories from the halcyon days. We have our in house sound system to pipe the music in from the main room, so you won't miss a beat!!
