i quite like it too but IMO way too 'mod-ish' to go massive on the northern scene, too much of a typical british mid 60s blue eyed soul production in it. i tell you what, trade it with a mod for a proper soul record

nope, german release has a big hole, generally german 45s from the late 50s on have big holes.

came out on german pye as well. so still a non-US release but at least you get a bigger hole ;-)

nope, 'NYG' came out on bay sound 67002 and bay sound 67004 as far as i know...

i know this isn't of any help but i was wondering if somebody can tell me current going rate for this. i know it came out twice with first release being much dearer than second one. also, both releases were on ebay recently and ended with a rather significant difference in price. TIA benji

yes, it doesnt read "demo" or so on the label, but at least it's white with black print.i doubt that it could be an issue, colored labels weren't that expensive even back then...

pete, it's a proper white demo. belgian boot looks a bit like the issue.

i used to have the copy that marc mentioned (probably very same 45 as in pete's pic) so i can add: - 45 didn't have a small center originally - it was pressed in the UK and then shipped to Jamaica (got UK EMI matrix no or something similar) - marc, no you didn't trade it for four gents, it was some for other 45 i can't remember right now - sold my copy to hammy but forgot for how much... hope this helps, back to lurksville now....
