As usual your'e spot on again Malc, snowy used to be in on saturdays, when he wasn't at his usual place of work and normally Mary's bussiest day, also right about all the domestic appliances / stereos etc, and they did have bikes, allmost unbelievable when you saw the size of the premises. The old welfare hall Conisbrough, this was opposite the Lord Conyers and Boylands record shop, the building also doubled up as changing rooms for the football pitches where the building stood. Can't remember the year i first attended was taken along by big sis and friends, scooters parked outside, and a good crowd waiting to get in. first record ( i didn't know it at the time ) Billy Harner, What about the music, i used to sit on a table alongside the dj every friday night taking notes of tracks i wanted, must have got on his nerves at times. my ex missus threw about 4,000 away, glad they wern't all soul but about 800 of them were, lots of originals. GUTTED.
