i,m at retirement age now, and an original collector,but still love my 45,s in lovely condition.i reckon things will settle down and common sense prices will prevail when manship auctions a copy of rita and the tiaras issue or demo.

doesn,t surprise me as condition is everything ,and the iconic 45,s are just going higher and higher.pardon the pun....it makes predicting the prices on this type of condition and desirable tune ,at a low estimate,a bit stupid in the scene we are in now.good luck to the buyer.

i don,t think there is anything wrong with someone wanting to pay strong money for his or her most wanted 45 , or whatever.it keeps us all happy in the knowledge that privileged long time collectors are sitting on some good investments.and i,d never be so disrespectful so call a new or aspiring collector an idiot in choosing to collect a rare 45 of his choosing.they may not have been around years ago ,when we all started in the 60,s.to stumble on some now rare 45,s

i think the main points are ,if you don,t have the original vinyl to play at a venue,don,t charge entry.trouble is now everyones a dj ,with abootleg box full for £100.and he thinks he,s the cats whiskers.decides to put on a night and charge at the door and then slag off genuine people/collectors/dj,s who don,t attend them.
