Nige Shaw (Heavenly Blocked) had one of these in his sales box a while back, but can't remember label. He may not want to admit to it though.... Think he bought it off Keith Williams if I remember correctly, so either may know more info.
  2. I have to admire your stubborness if not your taste....
  3. Gotta be U.K. demos / promos etc I've got a U.S. promo of Ray Pollard 'The Drifter' but would much prefer it on U.K demo....or even issue come to think of it. Just imagine finding 2 boxes of beauties...one full of U.K. demos and the other full of equivalent title U.S. promos (Ray Pollards, Big Dee Irwin, Sammy Ambroses etc etc etc) - you can only take one box...which would you chose???? Bet even Chalky would have a change of heart at this scenario..... Some U.K. demos don't float me boat though. Would prefer a red and yellow Pye International issue over the white and black demo any day....
  4. Ah, them were the good old days eh Rich Do you remember when the mod scene went latin loopy though, and all sorts of shite started getting played. Latin versions of all sorts of tunes were getting played, and then onto tracks with 30 word non english titles and lyrics that did your nut in! Seem to remember it died a death at that point...
  5. Jimmy Lipscomb - Pow pow pow (masquenade)????
  6. That's 4 not 3 Craig Recently started playing Barrett Strong again, after digging it out of an old box. Great tune Absolute quality tune!
  7. Believe Joe favours 'Bad breath'...but suppose he has no choice. Mind you, pedigree chum for tea each night would probably not help him...
  8. Hey Sister - Monguita Santa-Maria (spelt wrong no doubt) Along with 'Subway Joe' & 'Use it before you lose it' has gotta be in top 10...
  9. Out of bon bons this week then girlie.....
  10. About £30 max I'd say, though I have known it sell for slightly more. Not too keen on it myself.....kinda 'love it or hate it tune'
  11. A U.S. copy on Soultime was on ebay a few years back (first one I have ever seen, and not seen one since!) but was credited to Mr.Dynamite....not sure if same one you saw Stuart?
  12. Deffo on Soultime U.S. and deffo credited to Mr. Dynamite. Rare on both labels (probably rarer on U.S.) but something infinitely beautiful and precious about the U.K. Sue label.... Never seen any copy credited to British Walkers....Existance is Urban myth methinks.... Was originally presumed by many on the mod scene to be James Brown due to vocals being familar with JB as well as the fact that he used to advertise himself as 'Mr Dynamite'
  13. Oops forgot to add your address to my list! Will get you one sorted mate...sorry! Me heads in the shed just lately........
  14. Think Rob Messer still has a spare U.K. copy - he had 2 copies so he could play Pt1 and 2 together. He was thinking of selling one after seeing a copy fetch stupid money on ebay recently. Sold my copy about 5 years ago for £50 About same time sold Quik 'Berts apple crumble' and The Game 'Gonna find me some-one' for £100 for the pair.... ........mind you they went to a very good friend. Oh well..............

I certainly do still have your old U.K. 45....not for sale though sorry. Good memory Jim.......must be 17 years back that, if not longer. I bought the L.P. off Tim Ashibende and did the swap with you. Also had the Reg Guest Syndicate 45 off you about same time...and Kell Osborne 'Quicksand' if my memory serves me well.... Sold Reg Guest a few years back, but believe it's daft money now! Mithered you to death for them records if I remember correctly...
  16. So you've got the sleeve in an old scrapbook.... So where would the vinyl be then...... Playbox by chance
  17. You're welcome to it mate.... Good to see ya again on Saturday......what was Dereks moby number again...
  18. Surely this must be a very clever imitation, as there can only be one Holy Grail...otherwise it somewhat defeats the object... Gene owned it originally, it is now mine, and Mark Bicknell is in line to own it next. Please sell your dodgy imitations elsewhere......
  19. You're just jealous cus you ain't got the Holy Grail....
  20. Did I say it was a shit record.... Never went the Casino...I'm too young..... My post was a reference to the 'Holy Grail' description. Whatever anybodies views on the 'quality' of this particular record/version...it has never been, and never will be Holy Grail material.... In my opinion anyway....
  21. Less than 10 minutes left......chasing a few debts right now to try and fund outbidding any of those rare soul collectors....
  22. >>>NORTHERN SOUL HOLY GRAIL!!!!<<<<
