A big thanks to everyone who turned out for Cheshire Soul Clubs Sunday Soul Session yesterday. All the DJs played there sox off & made it another memorable afternoon, I can't thank them enough. We can't wait for next month when we can do it all again. Remember everyone is welcome.

Hi, our Sunday Soul Sessions are going really well. Our initial idea is looking at inviting DJs that don't get regular spots anywhere but have a collection & can knock a one hour set together approx 24 - 25 tracks, it must be all vinyl. If you think you can entertain the room & this is something your interested in & agree with what we are trying to achieve please come down & introduce yourself & we will do our best to offer you a spot. GREAT NEWS ............ Cheshire Soul Clubs annual Charity Night in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, with your help raised an eye watering £920 Well done to everyone.

I have been asked if our soul night is going ahead at this sad time. The answer is a respectful yes. The Queen would not want to disrupt a charity event for such a worthy cause. With all due respect & deepest condolences Cheshire Soul Club will be holding a minute's silence on the night.

Promises of raffle prizes now trickling in, The Rec management have donated the room hire fee. All the DJs are performing for free & we thank everyone involved. With your support we should make a tidy sum which will be announced on the night & posted here Sunday. Above all let's have a great night.

Yes, we will be running a raffle on the night & any donations will be gratefully received & added to the prize draw.

A brilliant afternoon at Castle Sports & Social Club. All the DJs where bang on with the tracks they played, a big thanks for entertaining us, take a bow, Colin Austin, Steve Jenks, Little Bren, Phil Stones & Kev Frazer. All you soul fans thanks again for turning up & supporting Cheshire Soul Club with out you it just wouldn't be the same. Let's do it all again next month.

This Months DJ times.

Keeping the tunes flowing early doors this month are Gregg Osbourne & Eddie Worthington. Both have some outstanding tunes in there box's & this is an opportunity for us to hear some of there great tunes.

This month we welcome, regular Rec supporter Bob Anderson to be our guest DJ. Bob has a great collection of classics & I'm sure he will surprise us with some unknown & underplayed. If you arrive early we have our early bird guests Eddie Worthington & Gregg Osbourne double decking & entertaining us for the first hour. Filling in between is Roger (welcome back🤗) & myself. Its got the makings of another great night. Remember everyone is welcome.

What a fantastic night at one of the friendliest Soul Clubs around. The moment I walked in you could tell there was a buzz about the place. Standing room only at one point. All here to celebrate the soul night's anniversary, 13years of Northern Soul. Bob Anderson was already banging out club classics as we walked in & this continued until Chris took over. Chris Ellis played a mix of classics, oldies & one or two from the free anniversary CD, which I didn't know. I felt honoured to be invited as the guest DJ on this special occasion. By the time I'm on the club is heaving, the dancers are in & the floor is bouncing. It makes a guests turn so much easier & enjoyable when you have a receptive crowd in & that's what they had Saturday Night. I started with RL Burnside & finished with Big Lee Dowl, mixing it up with everything in between for the whole hour. Bob & Chris carried on until the we small hours & everyone went home Happy. If you've never been before, I thoroughly recommend this friendly club.

Roger & I decided to do a Sunday chill out afternoon with a difference. We want to invite soul enthusiasts with record collections who want to share there tracks in an entertaining environment with other like minded people. None of our invited DJs have regular spots anywhere, so this is an opportunity, a release even, to play the music they love. This year we have 20 one hour guest spots to give away. If you have a collection & can knock 24 -25 tracks together to make an entertaining set then come down & introduce yourself. Grass roots at its very best, everyone welcome.
