  1. A couple more from Austria The local swans checking it's all clear to come ashore for a good pruning 🙂
  2. Wow, some excellent photo's again these past few weeks. Had a great week in the small village of Alpbach in the Austrian Alps back in July. A really beautiful place with some great scenery. A few from there First one is the Church and swimming lake at Reith, the second one is the view looking down on the towns of Munster, Kramsach, Brixlegg and the third is going into the abyss on the gondola 🙂
  3. I got these out of the window. The church is where the local oldies soul night is (s.o.s) plug 😎
  4. Had another weekend in Snowdonia. First is the view of the curved summit of Pen yr Ole Wen in the foreground, and of the high peaks of the Glyderau and beyond. A distant Snowdon behind Pen yr Ole Wen and Anglesey to the far right. The second one is the old roman bridge under the A5 at Ogwen Cottage.
  5. Nice 👍 Looks like its going to be another one like this tonight.
  6. A couple of sunset photos from last night. Also one of the moon over MUFC Training complex. If it's not cloud there's an awful lot of smoke over the hills and you could smell it. These are from the Carrington/Sale area towards Winter Hill about 20 miles away
  7. I believe Winter Hill is on fire now. Was out on the bike last night and was looking over that way thinking it looked a bit cloudy/smokey. Winter Hill is on the right above the flat hedge
  8. Caught this blackbird having a bit of a sunbath a few minutes ago
  9. Was looking at the moon last night but not as red as that. The fires are bad, both for people and animals and I fear it could go on for some time with no rain in the forecast. You can get a wiff of the smoke down here in Sale now and again and also see the smog hanging over the moors. Light ash fall in Manchester city center as well
  10. Thanks Pete I didn't see any boats landing their catch, we weren't there that long really. A flying visit to see my lad who is working down there. Trying to get around as much as possible these days before it's too late :-). Still getting out to local soul nites as and when tho 👍
  11. Been to Looe in Cornwall this weekend. Looe Harbour at low tide on Saturday and high tide on Sunday when it was also a bit damp
  12. Great shot. Our next door neighbour had a family of foxes under his shed early on this year and we used to watch them play in the garden. Great stuff. We used to leave scaps of food out. As you can hear we got a tad excited 🙂 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPT81cpybxc
  13. Went up Snowdon last Saturday for the sunset. Wasn't the most spectacular but a great experience all the same and very empty 🙂
  14. Wow, again. Many thanks. That's the second thing I've won this year, the first being another most liked photo on here 😳 Some great photo's of everything, posted on this thread so I'm humbled. Cheers 👍
  15. How you can spot that from that distance among the rocks is amazing in itself. Patience is the virtue I suppose. Nice one
  16. There is three of them and you can get on them with care, well they took my weight :-). Looks a different picture when the tide comes in and nearly swallows them up!
  17. Another couple from Mull. The first is my fav photo of the week, old fishing boats of Salen, the second is the view of Loch a'Chumhainn on the way back from a walk looking towards Dervaig where we stayed.
  18. Just had a week on Mull and managed to get a couple of zoomed in shots of a Otter eating a rather large fish, a Sea Eagle flying high overhead and the keeper of the castle 😀
  19. Nice one. thanks very much. Been on the Isle of Mull for a week and just catching up 👍
  20. Amazing to think you actually saw it to get the photo! Brilliant
  21. Some cracking bird photo's on here, brilliant. A couple of waterfall shots of the same waterfall, Anglebeck Tarn Waterfall near to Hartsop in the Lakes. Taken with my phone. First is unfrozen on Saturday 17th March and the second is part frozen on Sunday 18th March. Also some Alpaca's at Pooley Bridge
  22. Yes Steve, have heard all about them. Lots around Chorlton/sale but a first for me. A mate of mine who works in the pest control has been called out a few times about them. Can cause a bit of damage as well.
  23. A few birds that come to a feeder at a house I was working at a few weeks back. All taken through the kitchen window. the last one is a Parakeet spotted along the River Mersey in Sale, near to Jackson Boat. First I have seen round these parts but have heard there are quite a few in the area.
  24. Happy belated new year :-) Great photos as always on here and I'll put a few up that Ive got just recently. Three from a very warm spring like day on Snowdon on Tuesday 13 March. Clear views from the summit, a Chinook flyby and a very still calm reflection of the horseshoe from Plas y Benin that had the photographers out in force. Great day
  25. Saturday at the VW Festival near Leeds and Sunday a walk in the Lakeland Fells of Helvellyn and chums :-)
