  1. Went up Snowdon last Saturday for the sunset. Wasn't the most spectacular but a great experience all the same and very empty 🙂
  2. Wow, again. Many thanks. That's the second thing I've won this year, the first being another most liked photo on here 😳 Some great photo's of everything, posted on this thread so I'm humbled. Cheers 👍
  3. How you can spot that from that distance among the rocks is amazing in itself. Patience is the virtue I suppose. Nice one
  4. There is three of them and you can get on them with care, well they took my weight :-). Looks a different picture when the tide comes in and nearly swallows them up!
  5. Another couple from Mull. The first is my fav photo of the week, old fishing boats of Salen, the second is the view of Loch a'Chumhainn on the way back from a walk looking towards Dervaig where we stayed.
  6. Just had a week on Mull and managed to get a couple of zoomed in shots of a Otter eating a rather large fish, a Sea Eagle flying high overhead and the keeper of the castle 😀
  7. Nice one. thanks very much. Been on the Isle of Mull for a week and just catching up 👍
  8. Amazing to think you actually saw it to get the photo! Brilliant
  9. Some cracking bird photo's on here, brilliant. A couple of waterfall shots of the same waterfall, Anglebeck Tarn Waterfall near to Hartsop in the Lakes. Taken with my phone. First is unfrozen on Saturday 17th March and the second is part frozen on Sunday 18th March. Also some Alpaca's at Pooley Bridge
  10. Yes Steve, have heard all about them. Lots around Chorlton/sale but a first for me. A mate of mine who works in the pest control has been called out a few times about them. Can cause a bit of damage as well.
  11. A few birds that come to a feeder at a house I was working at a few weeks back. All taken through the kitchen window. the last one is a Parakeet spotted along the River Mersey in Sale, near to Jackson Boat. First I have seen round these parts but have heard there are quite a few in the area.
  12. Happy belated new year :-) Great photos as always on here and I'll put a few up that Ive got just recently. Three from a very warm spring like day on Snowdon on Tuesday 13 March. Clear views from the summit, a Chinook flyby and a very still calm reflection of the horseshoe from Plas y Benin that had the photographers out in force. Great day
  13. Saturday at the VW Festival near Leeds and Sunday a walk in the Lakeland Fells of Helvellyn and chums :-)
  14. A couple from a recent trip to Snowdonia doing the Cwm Llan Horseshoe :-) The first one is looking down on Glaslyn (the blue lake) and the second one is looking down on Llyn Lydaw
  15. Cheers Steve, that's what I thought but the markings can throw you a bit. Quite a few in the area then an eagle comes along and the buzzards shrink in size
  16. Trying to identify this raptor if you can help. Again, like the wild cat photo, not the greatest as it was a fair distance away and at first I thought it was an eagle but soon dismissed that. Looks like a buzzard, but is it a common one ? looking at my bird book the markings point to a rough legged one but one of the more expert birders may put me right :-) Taken in Ardamurchan, Scotland Cheers
  17. That's brilliant. I knew they had little ones instead of eggs but knew nothing else. Excellent stuff, cheers
  18. Yes Steve, the wild cats are very rare and ardamurchan is a last strong hold. Just wished I'd got a video or clearer photo. The adder was just lying on the path in the afternoon sun, may of just had a meal as it took it's time to move on.
  19. Ha. I've got one of then snorkles, the bees knees as you find yourself talking to yourself and the fish
  20. Not been on here for a bit. Was up in the Ardamurchan Peninsula of Scotland in May, Kilchoan to be exact, what a fantastic place that is as well, highly recommended if you like peace and quiet and wildlife. The first is two seals just of the shore, the second is what I was hoping is a true Scottish wild cat but it's not a conclusive photo as it was dusk and zoomed in a bit. It was on the drive way of the cottage we were staying at and even the wild cat society can't say 100% if it's a true one or a hybrid. We know what we saw though ;-) The third is a first for me and is an adder basking on the path we were walking on :-)
  21. Certainly is a great piece of engineering. We said we'd have to go back for trip on a boat and go on the lift.
  22. Anderton Boat lift complete with flying duck photo bombing :-). First time I have seen this, very impressive, the lift not the duck!!
  23. Another weekend in Snowdonia
  24. Great memories along with Windsford, Keele, Droylsden. For me, all at the right time as nowadays I'm lucky to get to a couple a year. Can't really comment on today's niter scene but yesterday was great. There are one or two from Keele knocking about on youtube, not sure about anywhere else but the memories wont go away.
