  1. It looked a bit better than this in real time but just after a heavy shower tonight
  2. Fantastic that. All these wildlife cameras are better than evening TV 😉👍
  3. Yeh, I may go for a peek tomorrow with my little camera or put the trail cam up in another place. Don't really want to be around too much but will leave it for a few weeks after that. I have seen adult foxes in the fields but they could be any. I'll certainly keep my eye on developments through the summer.
  4. OK, here is the latest installment from the Badger Sett, only it appears to be taken over by a family of Foxes. I say family, as there are four cubs, but most of the time only three seem to be present and there is no sign of any adults, which seems a bit worrying. Also one cub seems to have hurt it's leg near the end of the video as it's limping so hoping it's going to be OK. I'm not sure where the Den entrance's are as they seem to be playing/exploring around the Badger Sett without using them other than a play area. Also, the Badgers seem to be keeping a very low profile as only one makes an appeareance for a short time. This was filmed over a couple of days/nights earlier this week and I was hoping to see Badger cubs after I'd put a few grapes and nuts down so was quite suprised to see all the foxes.
  5. A sneak preview and a bit of a suprise as I put the trail cam out to see if the badgers had any cubs only to find fox cubs at the badger sett!! No sign of any adult fox and only a small sighting of the badger. 4 fox cubs (only 3 on this clip) but it seems odd not seeing any adult. Fingers crossed all is well IMG_0046.MP4

  7. We'll have to compare cameras over a pint in Tenby, a bit like comparing your records to mine 🙂
  8. Quality. I have a few but nothing like that, nice one 🙂
  9. Steve, I always hear them and sometimes see them in Wales around this time of year. Also in Scotland where I hope to spot one or two in a couple of weeks 🙂 As you say, an iconic sound
  10. Back out in Snowdonia on Saturday, a great 13 miles around the less populated Northern Carneddau where I heard my first Cuckoo of the year, saw my first swallow of the year and a few of the Carneddau Ponies. A snow shower over the Ogwen Valley area and a not so full Aber Falls. A great day
  11. Here's hoping mate 👍
  12. Fantastic hat trick of Wagtails 👍🌞
  13. Thanks for posting this up Steve. If I'd of known about this today I'd of gone and paid my respects to Dave. R.I.P
  14. Yes it's a great area. We stayed there in May 2013 in glorious weather and visited the Inn a couple of times and were treated to random music. Looking forward to it despite any restrictions 👍
  15. Plockton in a lodge and yes Narberth is still on 👍
  16. It was just over 10 miles in 10 hours as i kept stopping for a rest 😁 10 miles around flat cheshire/trafford is a breeze in a few hours. Glad to be out again. The photos are off my phone which is good for landscapes. Scotland in 3 weeks 🌞👍
  17. Managed a trip out to snowdonia on thursday, first time in the mountains for about 8 months and what a epic day. A very leisurely 10 mile trek in sunny, windless and very quiet conditions, perfect 🌞
  18. Had a walk round Reddish Vale today and saw quite a few Mandarin Ducks along with Muscovy and African Geese
  19. Brilliant 👍 Can't wait to get up in the hills again. Love the inversion 👍
  20. Stunning, nice one mate 👍
  21. Oh blimey, this is sad news. Used to see Dave at the all nighters, Winsford, Keele, Stoke and a few of the local Sale/Stretford soul nites, Oakfield & the Greatstone always with his mate Dave C. A shock and another good soul gone. R.I.P Stokesy
  22. Steve, that's the one we went to. From what I remember it's a cracking place. It was back in 2014, we stayed in Hay and went to the farm on the Friday, and kayaking on the Wye on the Sunday. A great success story, you need to visit one day 👍
  23. Talking of red Kites, we went to a feeding station in mid Wales a few years back, not far from Hay-On-Wye, on a camping trip and there was hundreds of them, along with the crows a Buzzard and a female fox. A great site as they came from miles around for a couple of hours
  24. Going back to the white tailed eagles, this is a great site to get up close to a few, Bald Eagles as in not UK. I think I may of posted it up before as it's also great for other wildlife watching https://explore.org/livecams/bald-eagles/decorah-eagles-north-nest
  25. Binocs are great for spotting birds of the feather, especially at this time of year as they make a racket looking for their patch to raise a family. There's some good apps out there with bird songs if you go down that route to help identify the ones you cant quite see. I also use them to look for stiles/gates, especially inthe hills, saves getting too lost 👍
