  6. Always an extra special occasion, each Anniversary...this is no different and the 17th, which in Shropshire soul night terms, is pretty remarkable but, it has that happy knack of being successful, busy and capable of creating curiosity with the nature of it's setting hence, people come from far and wide just to experience Shrewsbury's ' best kept secret '. Guesting this time is the highly dependable Rose Flockhart, a regular visitor here anyway but a Lady who also possessez a phenomenal record collection and certainly dosn't come up short when it comes to some of the scenes rarest big hitters. So, a great celebration guaranteed! As always it goes without say the people make for a great friendly atmosphere, boosted by a superb dancefloor, more than competitive bar prices and an inordinate amount of free parking space in the grounds. The Masonic Hall is in Crewe St, just off the A5191 Ellesmere Road, and can be easily reach via A5, A49, A53 and M54. Anyone looking for a stopover can checkout a number of hotel websites including: Premier Inn, Abbots Meade and Lion Hotel ( in the town centre ) and Holiday Inn Express, Travelodge - Battlefield and Travelodge - Bayston Hill ( all within 10-12 mins of venue) A safe journey to all who intend to be there and have a great time!😉👍
  7. All being well, our guest s3lectors will be posting up some soundclips here. In the meantime, i'll kick things off!. 😉👍
  8. OCTOBER'S SELECTORS AS FOLLOWS? RESIDENT & PROMOTER - PHIL DICK GUESTS: DEREK WATMOUGH ( BOLTON ) SHARON HOGAN ( WATERFORD, IRELAND ) STEPHEN BROWN ( WATERFORD, IRELAND ) OPENING UP: ROB HAIGH ( LEEDS ) sure to be a cracking evening, with the emphasis very much on underplayed, unknown, forgotten and choice quality but rare oldies....less regulation, more consideration!. Our guests SHARON & STEPHEN from across the water should definitely add a different dimension to proceedings and, veteran Lancs dj DEREK WATMOUGH will bring his experience to bear, working the dancefloor. I'll be chipping in with plenty of infrequently heard tuneage at the start so, hopefully, there will be plenty of sounds that are pleasing and interesting to the ear. This function has already attracted attendances that include plenty of travelling soulies so, plenty of opportunities too, to make new friends with those from further afield.😉👍🎵💃🕺🎶⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
  9. AS PREVIOUSLY ADVERTISED!😉👍
  10. HERE'S THE VENUE...for anyone who hasn't been before and is thinking of ' ticking it off the list '. Consisting of a 1st rate dancefloor, spaceous and STRICTLY NO TALC!, Bar prices are more than competitive and there's ample parking outside.😉👍

  12. Absolutely!, top quality throughout, in both rooms, this next gig is no exception😉👍
  13. Fully expect Mr. Mills to furnish this to an anticipatory audience, for me anyway!😁👍
  14. CVH has a largish car park but it can fill quickly. In the event of needing somewhere to park, other than, there are several car parks, 2 - 3 mins walk from the venue in Culcheth Village. Note: pleanty of eateries available too for those looking to feed their faces before activities commence!😉👍
  15. AS ALWAYS, with folk travelling distance to this event, if anyone is considering a stopover, then please browse the list of recommended accommodation within a 10 - 15 min radius of the venue. Check websites for up-to-date charges and any discounts.😉👍
  16. GRUMPY SEE, GRUMPY DO....no ' Miracle ' just 100% QUALITY SOUL in the North West wi nowt teken out!...dosn't seem 5 mins since the last visit in May of the Runcorn Collective, JUMPING JOAN & PHIL THRELFALL, but a mighty WELCOME BACK it is so, polish up the shoe leather in expectation of a sweat stained workout, along with the resident CVH selectors and special guests: SOUL SAM & IAN WILLS. A colossal collection of curators indeed, upholding the Spirit of Lowton, the East Lancs Tourism Trade...AND ' GETTIN' GRUMPY WITH IT' too!😉👍🎵💃🕺🎶⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👏👏💥
