Has Anyone Seen These Before
I've had the Curtis Lee on Coda, it's the only one I've ever seen, I bought it off Nancy about 7 years ago. Sorry, didn't scan it.

The Early Years - Jimmy Radcliffe
Different backing track on that version of Tastes Sour Chris...it's great. Still prefer the Barbara version though

Lou Courtney
It'll never sell at 250 now. I ebayed one and it went for just over 100. I sold one on here for 125 and that only had one enquiry.

You can keep your 'rare soul' scene, I'll stick with the 'northern soul' scene thanks. Would you like to tell well-known white singer Dean Parrish his records are not a patch on certain 10th rate black artists who can't sing too well but are more worthy because of their colour?

Northern Soul History?
I think the London sleeve is wrong. I think it's an acetate for the Stateside release, as it's on an Emidisc and Decca/London had their own in-house acetate labels. Though the first Stateside demos mis-spelt the title as Open The Door Of Your Heart.

Dave Godin returns from the grave, God help us. It is NOT about celebrating the works of Black America. Do all records have to pass an authenticity test or something?

I found another version of this, this time he's singing live and the backing track is different - it's out of synch on the tape and looks like he's miming, but he's not - he only looks about 16! (this track now sound to me very Gene Pitney-ish) Download Video Youtube Link

Joey Heatherton - The Hullabaloo - Wow
Just noticed - she's supposed to sing "Give me a big strong line" and she actually sings "You'll be a big strong lion" bloody pot smokers
