Can I buy "How"?? I think I had £200 on it at the time...
  2. Mark I've got some bad news for you. Someone has stolen your avatar and replaced it with a picture of Rodney Trotter!

Look after that Rach, I think I only ever did one sales cd!
  4. Wouldn't do you much good would it, he might find out the names of the people who live in your house, then you'd be f*cked

Was a minor Wigan sound long long ago but I think they only used to play the instrumental - in fact I don't think I heard a vocal til the 80's. I think this is a rare 45, I've only ever had it once myself.
  6. I think it's a bit weird that noboby's bootlegged this yet. But if they do, I hope they make a better job than that Margaret Little. Shocking sound quality, dubbed straight off a VG disc with a buzz on it, I bet it was taped off decks too
  7. I saw this on your auction John which was a bit of a surprise really, even more when you said you or Carl had never seen one - I've had two in the last year, maybe 18 months, the first one I was really excited about but a bit deflated when nobody else shared my enthusiasm and it sold for something like 60 quid after four or five reductions - the second went up on here about 2 months back, photo n'all, again I think it only went for 75 quid. I don't think people appreciate how rare - or aesthetically pleasing - it is. Brilliant record too.

  13. I'll tell you a really great track that you could put out on a Kent 45 - amazed that it didn't come out before to be honest - the instrumental version of Who Are You Trying To Fool...what a sound!
  14. Anyone want this at £125 before I stick it on Ebay? I'll do the Denise Lasalle at £40.
  15. These people who put "too many to list" are just lazy bastards, I wouldn't buy anything off them on principle, I also hate the people who put the artist and the label but beglect to tell you it's that artists worst release in the hope that you'll buy it thinking it's their one indemand track!
  16. No attempt to list the records. A photo showing a Phil Int 45, yet there's been six bids. B*llocks. https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/40-northern-soul-and...tem230074134204

  18. Hang on though, if you ask a record company to put up a track which can be downloaded, they are still going have to pay royalties to the artist, producer or writer...
  19. Now that is a good idea
  20. I really don't want to see this topic get out of hand but I am NOT being deliberately inflammatory here, I just prefer to give any charity money to causes closer to home like poppy day or nspcc. Simple as that. I have no problem with anyone who does totally the opposite.
  21. I will definitely do that then, ta.
  22. Some of us don't know how to obtain them!!!
  23. No thats fine Dave, if it's what you and others believe in then it's a great thing you've done, it's just a different viewpoint to mine.
  24. It's just I'm taking the girlfriends Dad for cancer treatment every day at the moment, I also had to go past the childrens ward twice a day at the hospital her Mum was in and my heart broke every time I looked inside at these poor little kids. The other day someone was on about having a collection to buy a headstone for another recently died soul singer. I thought it was a joke to start but it wasn't. When I got into real problems, people on my mailing list actually sent me money - I tried to give something back (I said can you pay like £2 for a cd if I make one) and instead of paying £2 some people sent £10, £20 even £50. One guy lent me £1500 and told me to pay it back £50 a week. This is just unbelievable, that people you never met help you out like this. When a member of KTF's wife sadly died from breast cancer, I put together a cd of my rarest records, sold it to KTF members and mailing list people and raised something like £600 for cancer charity. Nobody asked me to do it, I was really glad to be able to help. But there is no way in a million years I would ever give money to help an old recording artist thousands of miles away.
  25. Have a look back over the threads Ady and you'll see that right from the start 99% of the people on here have been critical of the barefaced cheek of this seller, Tony was going to make a few enquiries re Millie Jackson. Was just pointing out that just because say Stateside put out Hoagy Lands in 1967, they don't necessarily own it now. Or maybe they do. But you know what I mean.
