  1. I'll go back and edit that, forgot about the swearing thing
  2. This is a reply he sent me to a perfectly simnple question: ----Original Message Follows---- From: "david manchester" To: petesmithrecords@hotmail.com Subject: Re: Question for item #120044861523 - GLEN MILLER OCTOR BIRD DB1089 FUNKY BROADW Date: Wed, 25 Oct 2006 20:31:43 +0000 are allyou record dealers such boring c*nts (this wasn't edited) get a lifeprat
  3. Don't panic, everyone else would have seen it anyway, you can't hide nothing on ebay, not in that section anyway
  4. I've had the Jackie Lee wd a couple of times - one recently - but I actually made a mistake earlier, the record I sold to dave Flynn was the white demo of Cigarette Ashes and not Beatin Rhythm. I got it off that guy from MA who had endless supplies of 45's in the early days of Ebay - Bill Nadolny
  5. Those above - though it depends how long you've been around I suppose. I could hear Geni(e) til the cows come home but Greg Perry is an unpolished turd of a record. No offence like. Nice to see My Conscience in there.
  6. From a distance, and because of the hair straightening, they do look white, but I think they are the black trio The Hi-Tones who recorded Bigger And Better on Abet
  7. I asked why it was covered up and he said how else do you show the sleeve part of the vinyl and the disc I said it might help if you dshow the label of the record you're 'supposed' to be selling.
  8. And they said Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods were a bunch of c****
  9. Because that's what we like it's mainly Winston
  10. I remember when Disc used to publish the Wigan casino top 10 - can distinctly remember The Night and Happy being numbers one and two, other records in the top 10 were the still obscure Fidels "I'm giving you notice" and the Mitchell Braithwaite record..
  11. Look at the photograph https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GLEN-MILLER-OCTOR-BI...tem120044861523

You need to listen to me cos I know all about this dilemma. What you want to do is get a 50 or a 100 box, and go through the records asking yourself "could I live without this record". Eventually you'll fill the box, but only just. I've just done this with over 1000 reggae and ska 45's and I've kept around 120. Sell the rest and do something nice with the dosh.
  13. Dave, I never went there - not to the nighters anyway, I only went to the dayers in 1979 and early 80 - but I knew it independently from Stafford, heard it late 87...but it's been out on cd for a few years, thats why I'm surprised it's not better known. Yes 690 quid too much...

Hoorah, someone who can price records properly at last!
  16. Was just going to say about The Accents, hardly any difference apart from the intro.
  17. Please no, the old one was enough
  18. By the way, the most interesting playlists I ever see posted up on here, apart from my own obviously, are Mark Freeman's oldies spots - always something different and always something outrageously out of fashion that he isn't afraid to play! It takes balls.
  19. What a fantastic website! The shop - it reminds me of one in Brighton, think it was called Immediate Clothing?
  20. Roccia - do you honestly actually own a clothes shop??? Is it online?
  21. I think it could!
  22. Have a look in the sales section Neil, he's in there somewhere
  23. Look at that picture quality!
  24. Neil, the line is up of the original Night Train disc is the same as the second disc more or less the Avons, the Spidells, Hal Hardy, Jimmy Church, Freddie North, Ironing Board Sam, Pamela Releford, Jeffery Allen, Sandra King, Joe Perkins I put nearly all of those up on YouTube Superb - deep soul track, like that Freddie North one from the same show a couple of weeks back
  25. Kinnell, the one time I wear this particular outfit, it becomes legendary!
