By the time this was filmed, nobody, apart from Sandy Holt maybe, did acrobatics. Loads of people did spins, but none of the splits and backdrops. It had died out in late 75 early 76. Thats why half the people on the Wigan documentary are glory-hunting camera bandits.

I'm trying not to snap and go off on one with this guy but he is f*cking annoying, he was saying yesterday that Little Milton is a poor performer because he keeps moving the mic away from his mouth and it sort of ruins it for him, he should thank his lucky stars there's a bit of footage of the bloke! yeah there's a guy in a black bomber jacket, wearing a black leather cap, obviously never been there before in his life...but those two nights were a bit like that, they had done a show of hands poll asking whether to let the cameras in and it was a resounding no, but they came in anyway, most people actually hung around the sides of the dancefloor so the cream of the dancers so to speak were never filmed. Having said that, in part 2 which I'll post up in a minute, there is some tremendous footage of Pete Ricketts from Dudley, what a dancer he was
