  1. Nobody would listen to the Antellects if it wasn't rare. No redeeming features whatsoever.
  2. Bloody awful record!
  3. I've got it in perfect quality Maria, just thought I'd better not put it up so I recorded it in low quality - again, it's pretty good, heard a lot better

I read the thread title and approached with trepidation

Yes mate, never quite liked that side so much but it was actually that side that was indemand a couple of years back

Sorry, only just seen this - yes, still got it I sold one for £400 but that was 18 months ago...never understood the attraction of that version to be honest, The Sheppards version is so smooth and sophisticated
  7. Estimating tuesday-wednesday next week. Pop in if you're over this way
  8. I think it's a bit difficult to gauge if you are only basing it on a 30 second sample but I am not going to put myself in a position where I get bollocked all over town for putting the whole thing up, so apologies for that. It's a great northern dancer for sure, but to my ears it's no better than something like Judy Street. Reminds me a bit of parts of I Worship You Baby.

willie williams is always overpriced...£50 tops I reckon
  10. Just a 30 second clip

Did I overprice The Sheppards and George Freeman records, anyone think? If so I'll knock £50 off each.
  12. Gavin Stearn
  13. No didn't mean that mate, I meant the actual recording is out..
  14. Not much compensation but Eddie does Love You Baby on Levine's SWONS video - it's not great. I've also got him doing it live onstage at Yarmouth. Not a pretty site.
  15. Yeah me too - actually I like most of The Embers records but Watch Out Girl used to sound magic at Wigan, great memories.
  16. No mate, it's the good one, Watch Out Girl
  17. That distributor in Bexhill was stocking those mate, they were about 19.99 each I think.
  18. There's a volume 3 as well. Plus 2 volumes that Goldsoul put out, mainly the same footage as the first ones but they got rif of the time codes and remasterd them and added some more tracks. Then there's one I did 3 years back called Soul A GoGo which was all the soul stuff from Hullaballoo and was the source for some of the Legends dvd's, and I also did a 50+ track one taken from The Beat series, featuring just the performances of Northern interest. There's more. But dvd's can't be advertised on site.
  19. Bit hard to say really, because of the labels I wouldn't have thought more than £20 but no doubt you'll have someone else saying it's worth triple that!
  20. First time I saw these was about 5 years ago, Chris Johnson found them in Florida, think he sent me about 5 copies (I sold them for a tenner each)

You're getting boring Soulfood. Do you think John Manship knows more about British than Mick Smith or Roy Gelder... these guys have stuff John has never heard of. My so called draft that you talk about was done over 7 years ago, and they don't have any updates.

No mate it's only got northern in, I left practically all of the general soul records out...but I think I did 70's as well, probably not reissues but things like GSF etc.

Can't remember off the top of my head but he has or had a shop in Norwich I think

I did one in about 1994 - listed around ten times the amount of stuff that was in Findagroove - I bet there's loads in there John won't have listed, seriously.
