I don't bid on soul records Mikey, I like people to tell me what they want for them and if it's a fair price I pay it - same as I do when I sell records to people - I've put offers on maybe 5 out of 5000 of my own records in the last 7 years, and those were usually because I didn't know what they were worth, if anything.

Larry Wright isn't worth 500 let alone 1000
  3. No reason why that shouldn't be legit. What makes you think it isn't?
  4. Nobody's saying Micky Moonshine is a soul record comparable with your selections - but it was a good NORTHERN SOUL record in it's day and that can't be denied just because the climate has changed and the singer has to be a blind crippled poor mans son from a backstreet in Detroit recording on a label that could only afford to press 3 copies of his record.

So in other words he's saying ooh look at all my fantastic records which none of you lot can afford

You should be able to get 4 copies of The Masqueraders "How" for £1000...three anyway. I swear a lot of people reading this site have no idea how many copies of these records are around. Last one I bought was £125, less than 3 years ago.

Ruby is about £400 on GT, ££250 on Take 6 now that people have wised up to the fact that the quality is shocking
  8. This guy isn't fit to change Andy Williams' colostomy bag!
  9. You don't mean that. In all these years I can't remember hearing anything remotely as bad as that. My hearts Symphony is 100% pure soul compared to that. And it's not just because I'm biased against modern - the guy is a sub-pub singer p.s. 4-2

Bit strange that, I've seen Chcuk Wood go for 25, 30 quid easy...

  12. That's true
  13. Jon, Janine is mixing it up with Gino Washington's "Rat Race" which is also the same backing track as "Like my baby".... in answer to your question - it's very very common, wouldn't have thought you'd get more than £15 for it. Fathers Angels is of course a bootleg as the only original is on UK MGM. Carstairs has to have "sterling" stamped into the run off and not scratched in - £75 for that.
  14. No, they aren't metal discs anymore, they're plastic! Even you could lift one
  15. Midlands would never be affiliated with the South!

  18. The ones I was doing/are doing are better than the originals!
  19. I like Micky Moonshine but don't like Tune Up!
  20. Pete S replied to a post in a topic in Record Sales
They want 'em set sale mate, not ebay!
  21. Rog I don't know if you've heard it but this one is actually worse than Pierre Hunt!
  22. This is a joke record, surely? If not, I give up. Is it Tony Christie making a disco comeback? Quite possibly the worst record ever made.

Yeah he's from Luton. What do you need to know?
