  1. No sir, it is you who has no taste. I have the best taste in music on Soul Source. It's diabolical. Voices are out of tune, there's no beat until the chorus, and even then it's badly produced. This one's got steam coming off it.
  2. Dreary is about the best I can come up with
  3. It didn't come out on Emerald. She did have a record or records released in Ireland but not that one.
  4. Real value - probably £500. Musical value - about 8 pence
  5. I said it's good as a stand alone record on it's own merits, but not if you bring it into the context of n.s. or r&b ... bit like To Sir With Love by Lulu - great record but wouldn't play it on the soul scene
  6. :graynone: :graynone: :graynone:
  7. What a load of shite Mace. Accept it, it's a turd on a stick, it's useless as a 'northern type r&b sound' and I actually like r&b. Little Queenie sounds like the best instrumental of all time next to this abortion.
  8. Well no it was probably a generalisation but also because I said this was rubbish. Don't remember an inst though.
  9. I said the same last week and they all called me a twat
  10. Any port in a storm mate...
  11. If I had one for sale now it would be £350.
  12. Because it's blues and rock & roll thats why, it's NOT r&b and it has no soul whatsoever. Thats why
  13. Thanks Rach. That's a great record but what it has to do with soul or northern soul, I've no idea. Well I have - it's got nothing to do with either, it's a 50's blues record. Good though.
  14. Is there an audio of it anywhere, don't think I've heard it

  19. The track at the top was Ken Boothe's version of Moving Away (Kenny Lynch on HMV) .. on my copy it actually has the title Moving Away but I didn't believe it because reggae titles are wrong 50% of the time...I thought it was "I've got the power to lead you through life"
  20. You know what, a lot of the foreign skinheads actually like this record! rare black label I see
  21. Problem was, daft as it seems, I couldn't work out what the title was!!
  22. Been doing my head in for about a week and it finally hit me this morning what it actually is...I thought, I've heard this somewhere before, just couldn't place it (or the song title), I feel a right dummy now p.s. it's reggae
