Good job you know Soul Bowl eh Mick, otherwise you wouldn't have any records
  2. Possibly, bloody cold beach though, it's from Nebraska
  3. How can you say that! Marvin & Tammi's version is one of the greatest, most uplifting Motown records ever made...Jeez.
  4. Anything except white is cool with me
  5. Someone might be interested Japan Motown
  6. Not on mine it wasn't, it was dark blue, must be my settings. But I definitely don't like the new one. I'm going on a sit down protest until the beachcomber is returned, and if I have to I will sit here all day

  13. Hey, I tell you what you want to know when you ask me, like yesterday, said 'avoid ann heywood' !
  14. Before some smartarse says "he died", the beachcomber skin is not a person
  15. Eh? Well? Don't like this one!
  16. What about this one then, I still can't believe it - I sent Carmen a Stateside record, Percy Milem I think, recorded delivery - got a call from Brian asking me what I was playing it and why did I send them a Frank Ifield record! The fucking postman had stolen the record I sent them, replaced it with Frank and resealed the mailer. Blatant theft. I reported it to the sorting office and also to the post office users group, they didn't even give me the £28 compensation for recorded delivery but sent me £5 as a "gesture of goodwill"!!! :graywanker:
  17. Having had a chat with the gentlemen about this and the other Port 45, turns out he did some work for a record dealer who appears to have paid him in vinyl but told him the vinyl was actually worth more than it really was. One look at Barry Wickhams last list, and the one before it, shows at least 6 well known Port 45's up for grabs at prices starting from $15 (The jets). He's not happy.
  18. A good sport most of the time Can't beat a bit of goading...specially when you're as easy to wind up as me
  19. Don't think he meant you Godz. As for me going soft, no way, I'd have done it myself but I have to look at it from the point of view that if I put a sales list out and someone took the piss, I could lose out on sales so I usually keep my views to myself when it comes to lists. Recently some stuff I've seen for sale on here, one was over £175 more than I asked for it recently, but I guess it's up to the customer what they want to pay.
  20. This was played - version of William Bell - came out on Polydor UK it's bloody awful
  21. Bejayzus, look at the state of this, and the seller says the labels are lightly worn Yuk!
