Here's another strange thing I got this week: Johnny Soul & The Manchesters - Wait - Dome Records SR 4012. I on,y bought it because I clocked the names of some of the people bidding on it and sniped them and it was in the wrong section, anyway it's a beat ballad thing, obviously white, muddy production but it's got that kind of weird factor which makes you think it just might have something. I'd guess late 60's/early 70s as it's stereo. Just wonder if it was known...certainly a weird track.

Going by the tracks, those were done Stafford-era, still collectable titles, it's all part of the scene - sod ethics, a lot of people would love to be able to play these, in or out. Tell you what, 3 years ago I was getting a lot of acetates cut for myself and I sold them in the end, there must have been 15 double siders with things like cheating kind, ray agee, that sort of stuff - I sold the lot to a someone who is considered a 'big name dj' and theres no doubt he played them out before tracking down the originals. You probably wouldn't believe me if I told you who it was.
