Says "To my sweet, adorable, lovable wonderful cousin, from her crazy cousin Holly St James"- Weird Record - Info Needed
Here's another strange thing I got this week: Johnny Soul & The Manchesters - Wait - Dome Records SR 4012. I on,y bought it because I clocked the names of some of the people bidding on it and sniped them and it was in the wrong section, anyway it's a beat ballad thing, obviously white, muddy production but it's got that kind of weird factor which makes you think it just might have something. I'd guess late 60's/early 70s as it's stereo. Just wonder if it was known...certainly a weird track.- Few Bits For Sale
Call a spade a spade right? p.s. I wasn't commenting on your record- If You Want A Laugh, Click On The Link
Yep, always been around that price, fantastic record but not rare- Few Bits For Sale

Also Robert Neal at £150! Both those Port 45's are around in quantity, unplayed, or will I be in trouble for saying that?- If You Want A Laugh, Click On The Link

Thats MISTER Sock Boy to you, reptile- Wots Going On Ere Then?
Don't bother, it's terrible sound quality!- Few Bits For Sale
Going by the tracks, those were done Stafford-era, still collectable titles, it's all part of the scene - sod ethics, a lot of people would love to be able to play these, in or out. Tell you what, 3 years ago I was getting a lot of acetates cut for myself and I sold them in the end, there must have been 15 double siders with things like cheating kind, ray agee, that sort of stuff - I sold the lot to a someone who is considered a 'big name dj' and theres no doubt he played them out before tracking down the originals. You probably wouldn't believe me if I told you who it was.- Wots Going On Ere Then?
No but it makes me wonder why you carry a bog roll wherever you go...- Northern Soul/ Rare Soul - a discussion
I bought this the other day, blind - how much should I ask for it and does anyone want it? Books at £400 in you know what but thats out the window- Whats This Then?
Never heard of it - over $100 at the moment on "E" Bay- Imperial C's - Someone Tell Her
There's two versions of it on that CD; the first is the one that came out on Phil LA of Soul except it's a lot longer (as are the versions of Girl across the street, The jokes on you, Diem on D9, This gets to me etc)...then they use an unissued take which sounds nothing like the first version. Both of them sound to me like early 60's recordings. Brilliant track though eh- Northern Soul Pin-up Girl Of The Week
Mike you didn't make a copy of that bonnie herman pic sleeve did you - she was gorgeous!! - Ahh, Bless
