  1. Yeah I know those green bootlegs, I was talking about styrene, though maybe I'm getting mixed up with My Kinda Girl or something else
  2. See I had no idea about that, I'd have sold - and do sell - the green one for hardly anything, £20??? And I'd have wanted £40 for the demo.
  3. Steve, Shrine, Sylvia, Arock, all pressed at the same place, all with labels dropping off all over the place
  4. How do you mean?
  5. Hmm, depends what you call 'recently' about 10 years ago I think...just remember seeing all the copies, and loads of Soul City on Mercury demo of all things
  6. oh F*CKING WHATEVER Nev normally I'd stomp off an close the topic but nah...
  7. I think it may not let you edit until you've made X amounts of posts Nancy
  8. Dean Courtney MGM issue, was in all previous books at a ridiculous 250 or something like that, it's now 450, I got over £1000 for it what 4 years ago now...still waiting to see another one
  9. Nancy you ought to check your Annabelle Fox I think..
  10. I won't say who but at one Prestatyn I stood next to someone selling who had a holdall and it was literally full of unplayed copies of that record, there must have been at least 150.
  11. I am not grumpy, I haven't been grumpy for a good 5 weeks now since I went back on Prozac, I am Mr f*cking Happy apart from the fact I had a blood test today and they couldn't find a vein so I've got an arm like a pincushion, and our new dog bit my missus so she spent most of the day in A&E, and Grace won't eat anything...
  12. Erm, Nev, I started the topic with "I didn't want to post on his sales topic"so I've started a new topic
  13. The original topic is SLIGHTLY EXAGGERATED SALES POSTS, nothing to do with prices. It's evolved from that. And everyone's enjoying themselves, except three of you, apparently.
  14. Have a look at the most recent post in sales and you'll find VG records ABOVE book prices!
  15. There's just one. Don't rip people off.
  16. I've recently stopped using Bidnapper after around 8 years, paying £25 a quarter, because I found a free one that's actually reliable (unlike the one on Goofbay for instance) the only snag with this one is that you do have to keep the program running, it's on your pc/mac not online, but it's bid on everything for me so far with no problems at all. Anyway if you're interested it's called JBidwatcher it's by the people who do JDownloader, which is brilliant for ripping audio and / or visuals from youtube
  17. Agree with everything you say Paul and I've had the same responses as you did. I'm only in it to sell things to put food on the table for my family. If it doesn't sell first time, it gets reduced, and so on, until it goes. It's great if you have a stock of 10,000 records and it doesn't matter if they sell or not because there's always something else you can list, but when it's your only income, and you run out of records rapidly, you do what you have to do.

It's ok mate just didn't know what Ian was on about, didn't know Guy lived overseas, knew Keb did.
  19. Same here.
  20. Bout the same as an issue I think mate, £75 or so - toughie to sell nowadays, despite being bloomin great
  21. So do I, but we agree beforehand what the lowest they will go to is, so we start it at one price but if it doesn't sell, I've got carte blanche to keep reducing it until it's gone. If the price is unrealistic, I tell them.

Hold on, who's Jet, Tony and Guy?
  23. Thats easy for you to say...
  24. Does make you think though. One one site there are two copies for £75, and on another there is a copy for £350. One or the other has to be wrong.
