  1. It's only £20 - £30. Nice track though. (It's actually Jackie Lee of course)
  2. No the boot doesn't have the acapellapart, but it's pretty easy to spot just looking at it as the original says Kenny Smith and the boot says Kenni Smith! Lou Pride boots, first couple are on blue labels on stryrene, original is vinyl and has a more greeny coloured label.
  3. Had this a few times but never even played that side! Other side was on an ancient Kent lp.
  4. Never heard of that record in my life - was it really booted back in 75/76 along with George Blackwell, Salvadors, Mel Britt etc?
  5. Sammy Davis was, others were on SOS and something else though
  6. Well there's a bootleg label called BOOT - releaesed 3 or 4 singles including Suspicion, MVP's, Joe Tex etc

Yes, bootleg album done by Colin Bee featuring the very top oldies of the time, yellow labels wasn't it, didn't come with a cover. Probably get £20 for it.
  8. Thanks - makes sense, St Etiennes' own label via EMI was called Emidisc, might be a promo to launch the label or something.
  9. Used to have this but can't remember a thing about it apart from it's got a track called "Detroit" on the other side which was probably why I bought it blind. Is one side very fast? It's only a cheapie though - or was then anyway.
  10. Got to be a bootleg hasn't it? Original is on Columbia. And what about the B side, The Emidisc Theme??? https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/UK-ZONOPHONE-7-MIKE-VICKERS-BRINK-DEMO-COPY-/260762449110?pt=UK_Records&hash=item3cb6a734d6
  11. Yeah, it's 2 or 3 grooves away from the start, don't even notice it at all to be honest. Found a short clip of it. edie walker.mp3
  12. No mate, it's from PERU !!! Saw it on ebay a few weeks back, checked what a US one was worth (think it was £100) so paid a lot less for this one, it just looked interesting. Think I could claim it to be the "only known copy" on this label? Snappy little dancer too.
  13. Probably did. Loads of people have played it. I'm talking 20 years ago. (sorry not got it on my pc)
  14. I thuink you just picked the winner! With Bok TO Bach on the B side I think. Also a terrible version of Tainted Love by The Jezebelles on the same label.
  15. Amazing, as always. I actually discovered the Emma Rede record, one of my few claims to fame. One day back in the very early 90's, I was lucky enough to get into Vinyl Experience in Brighton and look through around 8000 unplayed demos, all the big stuff had gone, all the rare beat and psych had gone, but I still came out with a couple of hundred nice records (I remember Robert Henry was one, Emma rede, truly Smith, etc) and was able to fill up at least 2 editions of Beatin Rhythm magazines with the fruits of that find.
  16. It's just so dull.
  17. No, was off an old UK collector who'd moved to Greece. Or Spain. Somewhere warm anyway
  18. 18 months, 2 years maybe - was a bit weird because I literally had 3 copies in 3 months, hadn't had one for 7 or 8 years prior to that. One came from Greece if I remember correctly.
  19. Especially Gerri Granger, f*cking awful record, always was, always will be.
  20. One man's meat indeed, Cajun Hart would be in any all time favourite top 30 I ever did. Used to be number 1 for a long time. Bill Bush is ok. Geoffrey Metliko is shocking. Helen Shapiro is fabulous.
  21. Some interesting news, after over 5 years I have decided to risk it and bought a copy of The Chandlers from the States this afternoon, let's hope it doesn't carry the curse with it
  22. Yep, Wright Sounds, funny label, only released a handful of records My Dear Heart was one, think maybe Cindy Scott - I Love You Baby as well. Each release same design, different colour.
  23. Not sure which is which, but it's stereo / mono as you say, but others are stereo / stereo and have two red and white labels
