Bad Experience Buying A Tune (Now Resolved)
I agree. We keep getting these posts saying so and so's done this or that but they are very rarely named so whats the point, it also means the rest of us can't avoid the seller either.

Sellers Reminder - Please Do Not List Items Separately
The problem is that when the original rules were made, it was deemed okay to do separate listings if the record was particular rare or interesting, like a £1000 single or an unissued acetate sort of thing. Unfortunately, nowadays, £500 records are in fact "common" in that they often appear in sales lists. I saw your sales list this morning Mark and didn't think there was anything wrong with it as it contained a dozen items. The Monique record was listed yesterday so not much I could do about it as far as merging it with other posts. I've just looked at Neil's items and agree that they should all be listed under one header. Contrary to popular belief, I am not always on the site, I very rarely go on it at night, I have a quick look before taking Sam to school then a proper look late morning early afternoon. It does not constitute 'snitching' if someone wants to report multiple listings or anything else for that matter. Anyway in furture it would be very helpful if - unless you actually do only have one item for sale - people could list them all under one heading. I have asked politely about this 3 weeks ago and pinned the post but alas it obviously went unread.

Sellers Reminder - Please Do Not List Items Separately
Why don't you get off my back Benji, you're starting to annoy me. I've just got in the house, I've been out all day, I thought I'd have a coffee and a sandwich first, maybe go to the toilet, if that's ok with you? Have you put in a complaint about Mark and Neil's threads? If so, I haven't seen it.

Should Debate Be Allowed On Sales Posts?
I can't look at every single listing on every single post though Rod so people would have to report these things to me and I will ask them to amend their posts. As not a single Action record is worth more than £75, I don't think it was that unusual to ask why 'sensible offers' were required on an Action label record.

Should Debate Be Allowed On Sales Posts?
Would you care to explain why?

Could people have a look at this thread and let me know your opinion please?

Sellers Reminder - Please Do Not List Items Separately
Could I please yet again remind sellers not to list each single item individually, I have had more complaints about this happening yesterday from two sellers so please list all your items under one posting or I'll have to merge them. It's unfair to other sellers.

The Rubaiyats Uk Action Demo
I've explained this to you by PM, if you want to make it public, fine by me. Firsty, I was made moderator of this section and told to moderate it properly, which I am attempting to do. The record you are asking 'sensible offers' for is not rare in the slightest. It's worth around £50 MAXIMUM. Just because someone paid £200 for it in a John Manship auction doesn't automatically make it a rare record, it just meant two people wanted it and the price went up. There are countless examples of JM selling records for 5 times their book price. In John Manships' own UK label price guide, he lists it at £60. Therefore, a 'sensible offer' for your record would be £40 to £60. I also have a copy for sale. What if someone comes on here, makes you an offer of £200 and I list mine the same day for £50? He's not going to be happy. I asked you a simple question, "why would anyone ask for offers on this record". If you want to take this further, you are welcome to contact Mike, the site owner.

British Soul Time - New Podcast - All Rare Uk Labels
BRITISH SOUL TIME ***** https://podcastmachine.com/podcasts/4425/episodes/30023 Time to dust of the old UK labels again to being you a FANTASTIC selection of rarities and one or two that you may not be so familiar with. This selection includes some of the very best UK releases which I've not featured up to now (one or two make their return) and I've also slipped in three or four obscurities / lesser knowns which I hope you'll enjoy. Any soul fan seeing the name Bill Oddie on a playlist will probably think it's some kind of practical joke, but give it a listen, it's a really good Beat Ballad! * * * * * I've dubbed most of these from the original singles so there is some snap, crackle and pop on some tracks. Hope you enjoy this one, it was good to play these again after a long break. * * * * * * * * * * The Mike Cotton Sound - Soul Serenade (Mgm) / Linda Lewis - You Turned My Bitter Intow Sweet (Polydor) / Micky Moonshine - Name It You Got It (Decca) / Helen Shapiro - Stop (And You Will Become Aware) (Columbia) / Jenny Wren - Chasing My Dream All Over Town (Fontana) / Barry St. John - Gotta Brand New Man (Columbia) / Steve Aldo - You're Absolutely Right (Parlophone) / Fearns Brass Foundry - Don't Change It (Decca) / Madeline Bell - Picture Me Gone (Philips) / Bobby Bridger - You're In Love (Beacon) / A Band Of Angels - Invitation (Piccadilly) / Christine Quaite - Long After Tonight Is All Over (Stateside) / John Lee's Groundhogs - I'll Never Fall In Love Again (Planet) / The Chantelles - There's Something About You (Polydor) / Sandie Shaw - Stop (Pye) / Manchester's Playboys - I Feel So Good (Fontana) / Samantha Jones - Surrounded By A Ray Of Sunshine (United Artists) / Sue Lynne - Don't Pity Me (Rca) / Margo & The Marvettes - When Love Slips Away (Pye) / Danny Williams - Whose Little Girl Are You (Deram) / Helen Shapiro - He Knows How To Love Me (Columbia) / Dennis D'ell - Better Use Your Head (Cbs) / The Ferris Wheel - Number One Guy (Pye) / Ray French - Since I Lost My Baby (Pye) / Sue & Sunny - You Can't Bypass Love (Columbia) / Bobby Goldsboro - Too Many People (United Artists) / Linda Kaye - I Can't Stop Thinking About You (Columbia) / Twiggy - Beautiful Dreams (Ember) / Jon Ford - You Got Me Where You Want Me (Philips) / Chapter Five - One In A Million (Cbs) / Ben Brown - Ask The Lonely (Polydor) / Marion Ryan - Better Use Your Head (Philips)/ Susan Maughan - That Other Place (Philips)/ Bill Oddie - I Can't Get Through (Parlophone).

I've got all of the UK Motowns (& one Stateside) you list there, as first issues, but they would add up to quite a lot - do you want me to price them up?

I've Been Trying - Blues Busters - Doctor Bird
Pretty scarce on Doctor Bird, £30+ but because it's soul it should be easier to pick up than a lot of the label. I don't think I had it when I used to collect the label. If you look on ebay usa you should be able to find one on the Jamaican label BMN Records
