  1. On what planet? I advertised a mint one on here last week and the week before, £75 then £60..and didn't sell it
  2. Where are all these people when I sell bootlegs and pressings??? Most I've ever got was £32 for Ann Sexton

  4. Wouldn't let me post up the whole thing, said image was too large, but it was spot on
  5. Not seen this one before - this time they say you have got complaint against you and tell you to go to your messages page, which of course is usually the most secure place to go to, I don't know where it actually leads to but I got a warning as soon as I clicked on it, and to be honest it's the first one I've ever clicked on, just because it said to go to my message page (Links removed)
  6. If anyone would like my Yum Yums and John & The Weirdest bootlegs at £50 each I will bite their hand off.

Someone else above said you do, was just commenting on that comment, if it's incorrect then fine, apologies
  8. Usually at this point John Manship comes in with "I've checked the files and we had 3 copies in the 3 years and they sold for X amount", I'd have been really interested to know if copies of this had passed through your hands John, stock or demo, I really think this is one of the rarer records I've had in a long time
  9. The Evie Sands pressing is green mate. Styrene, stuck on label.

Look, anyone who CHARGES for an autograph is a complete chancer and doesn't deserve to be given the time of day. If however thats part of the £30 or whatever package then it's not quite the same. But if people do have to queue up at Prestatyn to meet the heroes and then PAY for the autograph, then that seriously needs looking at, shame on whoever organises the payment and the artists themselves.
  11. I love it, I bought Soul Sam's dj copy off him (which was an emi with the horrendous Bill Pursell track on the other side) at Newcastle Tiffs...Mark start saving your money, you can buy this one off me in a week or two, I just wanted to be able to say I'd seen it and had a copy.
  12. Yes you can just about here small snippets of the original vocal, my guess is that it will all depend on the A side - they probably needed something to throw on the B side. Wonder what the A side sounds like? Anyway should be here by the end of the week.
  13. I bid £110 on that last year and got outbid!
  14. The Slits did a tremendous version of Man Next Door too
  15. So is this known? Played? Worth anything? This is where I should pay more attention, I have had literally hundreds of 70's records like this, all UK demos, and I just gave them away, I once gave a box of about 400 to the cats protection league in Hastings, my mate used to get them sent to him by the record companies and give them to me, the only one I kept was the Ramones Blitzkreig Bop picture sleeve!

Good, granted I do slag of stuff because I'm an armchair bigot but in this case I did no such thing and would never do...it was just the use of the word Wigan that I was mentioning
  17. No it's different mate, it's like he did one take, then they said do another, but it didn't wipe of the first one, really bizarre...I'll see if I can find it, I had it a while back so probably recorded it
  18. OK I have got it, A side is called "Joy" (Lamont Dozier composition) and it's a disco-type thing. The other side is a Bobby Womack song, "Trust Me", a ballad. Produced by Martin Rushent who did The Buzzcocks stuff! Sample enclosed (just 30 seconds) walker.mp3
  19. I'm sure I've got that last one and it's terrible. UA demo. I'll go have a look.
  20. I also didn't know that was Judy Mowatt singing please keep up my lessons Tone! Also I guess you know this but the other side - Dave Barker - She Want It - also came out on Escort in a kind of weird version where he sounds like he's djing over another version of the same track, it's a right mess

I'm jealous alright - of the people who actually got to see it.
  22. I had no idea it was a cover! Whats the original called? (Same?)
  23. Pete S replied to a post in a topic in All About the SOUL
Here you go Paul, this is what I actually said: I really regret never seeing it and I only heard good things about it so I'm not slagging off the play for a minute
  24. Pete S replied to a post in a topic in All About the SOUL
You ought to read the whole thread before shouting your big mouth off Paul
  25. Managed to get another copy of this beauty, condition is EX with a couple of little marks and one or two small pops, nice clean labels, very tough to get reggae label items in this nick and of course this is a cracking SOUL track. Offers over £50. NOW SOLD
