The words are great because it's an Oscar Brown Jr song. He also wrote "The work Song" amongst other stuff. Can do a sound clip of Oscar's version if anyone wants to hear it. Bit crackly and completely different beat to Al wilson but interesting nevertheless. Have to be tomorrow though as I'll have to convert from vinyl though Godz edited due to wine making me spelll the words tomorrow and vinyl wrong

Too many to chose from. I stiil love loads of stuff that is a bit out out of fashion these days - including some instrumentals, Blue Eyed Beach numbers etc. (Doesn't mean I dig 'em all though!) Luckily though, I enjoy lots of different sorts of music so I'm happy to admit that one of my guilty pleasures in this one time Cleethorpes sound and superfine surf sound. Great label too Godz

Just saw the New Century soul Club's Wigan Casino 31st Anniversary flyer which uses the old blue poster given away when the club closed. Mine went missing many moons ago and I need to replace it for particularly sentimental reasons. You see the poster has a picture of me selling records in the back bar and - as well as the fact that this was a very special time of my life - it would be nice to prove to people that I was not always quite as ugly and knackered as I am now. Does anyone want to part with theirs? If not I would be happy to pay for a full size photocopy + postage and a bit extra for your trouble. Can anybody make an old lizard very happy, please? And here's another: Stamped, no blue 'A', vinyl not styrene, with artists name in vertical rather than horzizontal print. Same track both sides. It also has "reservice " written on top right of label. Maybe it was promoted a second time and they did another lot of radio station copies? Godz
