  1. Hiya Dave - my copy is on the same label, which according to John Manship 2008 guide is worth £600. Apparently it's the 'white label design using the same masterplate of the original promo copy'. I think i bought it from Rob Smith (Nottingham) in the 80s :-)
  2. Another excellent B-side - Freddie Chavez 'Please Forgive Me' ( flip side of you'll never know why)
  3. On the subject of B sides, this is the reverse of The Only Way Is Up - Otis Clay, entitled 'Special Kind of Love'....worth a mention ;-)
  4. On the subject of B-sides, they don't come much better than this? Garland Green - It Rained 40 Days & Nights
  5. Okay, what about this? Envy - Orlons (yes, i know it's a B side.....
  6. And how about this How ever did Sandra Wright go un-noticed? What a voice I'll Come Running Back - Sandra Wright
  7. Right - this thread is becoming far too R&B, so here's something to bring it back on track, lol Lorraine Randolph - Keep Coming Back For More.....tuuuune x
  8. How about this funky little number Executive Suite - When The Fuel Runs Out
  9. What a tune! Liked it so much i bought the LP last night, can't wait to hear the rest of the album
  10. Partial as i am to 70's tunes, i can't help but LURV this track Dolly Gilmore - Don't You Know You're The Yes......enjoy
  11. Sorry, it's called 'Stop Stepping On My Dreams' written by Jerry Butler & Samuel Brown. The whole album is good, also contains his version of One Night Affair
  12. Current fave tune - Jerry Butler, from the 1972 album 'Spice of Life'
  13. Tonight Matthew, i will mostly be playing this tune - El Shobey & Co - never missed what you got (1972)
  14. Jimmy Beaumont & The Skyliners - Our Day Is Here (1976) & they're still touring
  15. How about Cissy Stone - Gone But Not Forgotten (still touring too)
  16. A current fave rave of mine - with Dean Parrish on vocals i believe
  17. Fantastic LP, but the top tune on it in my opinion has to be Midnight Affair - i could listen to it all night
  18. Hiya I'd like NOLAN PORTER / IF I COULD ONLY BE SURE / WHITE DEMO / EX (SLIGHT EDGE WARP ,PLAYS EX) £ 40.00 please and also SILK / FALLING IN LOVE ISNT EASY / DECCA PROMO / GOOD + (PLAYS GREAT) / £ 15.00 & IMPERIAL WONDERS / YOU ONLY ONCE - is the label green & brown please? or green & black? Ade
  19. Hiya Tried this having left Brian Auger - Black Cat on the turntable in direct sunlight. I preheated the oven to the required temperature & inserted the disk between 2 plates of glass - absolute disaster. Yes, the record flattened but was still unplayable not least because the grooves on the 'peaks' were flattened, but also because the record did not return to a completely flat state, more rippled. It's now a clock in my kitchen, lol Adrian
