  2. spellbinders...cracking lp!
  3. that's interesting info, about 10 years ago I ended up with a Patrice Holloway acetate called 'for the love of mike' and a Brenda Holloway acetate called 'lonely boy',i wonder if they came from the same source? the story was that they had been rescued from a junk skip? either way I wouldn't mind the serenders acetate, the tune just ticks all the boxes for me,just love the tempo, the vocal style, and the instrumentation!
  4. great info my friend...dare I ask where this acetate resides
  5. does a 7" acetate exist of the tune,or was it off a 10" with other bits on it?

    ray pollard on ebay
  7. I suppose there were a few things that came out around that time....the worst one for me...and im guilty of buying it...was the frank Wilson instrumental...sounded like it was made on a casio keyboard...got it at keele in the early days...haha
  8. is the eddie Holland the only track that was issued onto a 45,or are some of the others turned up over the years on French eps...etc..
  9. yes its chris Marriott,i have the lp,its from 1993,poor quality im afraid, some of the songs sound like they are from a cassette tape, but the effort is there, and the lp comes with an old school hand written tracklist ' triangle connoisseur sounds''the motown/hitsville masters vol1'...don't know if it reached a vol2? but the creations/serenaders is the tune for me.
  10. hi all postage at cost no quibble returns the charts-livin the nightlife-wand issue very strong vg+ fantastic copy SOLD (seldom seen northern dancer, backed with a cool midtempo tune 'nobody made you love me' youtube is for reference https://youtu.be/tGdTF_ATDqQ https://youtu.be/LK_oKxGyBjA

i think the whole snobbery and showing off would be totally lost if you never actually chased and owned the records, and in time would completely demean and destroy the whole idea off chasing that all illusive record, but then again im old school in my idea of records and the dj's that spin them. mind you if it was left to me,things would never move forward,im a creature of habit....positive and enthusiastic idea though nev!
  12. hi gang I know that the creations track ' say say baby' is unissued, but has it ever shown up on a acetate? is it a jobete song? also what cd is it on? thanks lee
  13. that price is about right 500-600 quid, demos are rarer and fetch around 600-700 quid.
  14. so would that mean the spinners is the 1st issue...is that just as a demo or issue aswell?
  15. hi all im interested in getting a copy of the spinners-i'll always love you-tamla I tend to go for the rarest format in 45's my question is...what is the rarest...r&w demo or black issue? is it rarer as the spinners...or Detroit spinners? which are the 1st issues? basically...what is the ultimate way to own it and what can I expect to pay for a ex copy? thanks gang lee
  16. I play guitar...im having a set of them plectrums im afraid....sorry
  17. so is the stateside 45 a later reissue pete? and wasn't the yellow London demos withdrawn, which I suppose then, a black London issue DOESNT exist? im not that clued up on these releases.
  18. yeah the timi yuro is the only way to have it as a orig 45,where as the Darrell banks can be got on a much cheaper black issue.
  19. there is a tony middleton on ebay aswell
