Bad Buyer! Beware
mainly ebay!...the odd few either want partial refund,or to do some sort of deal,or just dont pay for the record at all,i get all these scenarios in approx 2 in 10.

Bad Buyer! Beware
these things are infuriating...but it really is the way it goes...just gotta wipe your mouth and get on with it! 2 in 10 sales will goe tits up im afraid! but i wouldnt bother naming and shaming unless it was real serious, this guy has just tried his luck, but to no end!

Just How Rare?
rare records are a pain in the arse, ive got some, and i worry about having so much money tied up in them,i worry about wagon loads turning up! ive also got many bottom/cheaper end records that to me are fantastic records,i find the best thing to do is just to enjoy them for what they are, because even if the market fell on its arse or boat loads turned up,the record is still the same record! but to answser the question, there needs to be 2 lists...a rarest of the rare...and a expensive of the expensive!

Jack Montgomery On Barracuda

Jack Montgomery On Barracuda
hi guys the b side to ' dont turn your back on me' is an instrumental called ' never in a million years' is there a vocal to this, either issued or unissued? if there isnt, what a crying shame...its a great instrumental, but would be a great vocal tune! cheers

Where Have All The "big Lads" Gone?
i reckon all collectors/djs want some big ticket items in there box,so the recent sales sections covered in bottom end stuff is collectors selling them to generate the cash to buy the 'big lads' also, the reason the big lads...ie...the inspirations...mello souls...de-larks... are the in the top number, is because they are the best proper northern soul records we are ever likely to hear/or see and maybe the absolute top/rarest/expensive records get sold/traded behind the scenes? that way it doesnt cheapen its appeal of rareitie!

Johnny Sayles-My Loves A Monster-Ch-Town
just got a white demo, and the matrix is upside down on this copy too,and in comparison to the issue,it is exactly the same,i believe the demos havent been booted,so i wonder if the upside down matrix theory isnt true?...im curious to see a boot of this tune now!

Barbara Banks
its gettin a nice copy of this, they are usually rough! both sides are good, the b side ' living in the past' is the same as the vala reagen on atco, the b side of ' fireman' but i reckon a nice demo should be £120 and an issue at £150

Herman Lewis On Stone Blue
cant beat a double wider mate...haha

Del-Larks
it was actually my copy for sale,i sold it to john,so he wasnt auctioning it for someone else! there is no doubt it is very rare,it is the same group as 'job opening' and i would say a hell of a lot rarer than the queen city release, however job opening is 100% northern soul, and in everybodys top 10,'out of the incrowd' is a good tune with great production, but it falls in the bracket of 'neither here nor there' i sold it cos i was simply bored of it,but i would never have guessed it would achive 3k it is probably rare because it seems to be a one off label, and i wonder if it was a promo release because the b side has a very odd instrumental, which seems to have no place on any record...very odd! on a similar topic of whether it justifies the value,i wouldnt have believed the sandy golden would hit 8k,this dellarks 45 is rarer than that, and neither records are spectacular in any way....so WHO KNOWS! also i thought the lead vocal was the guy who sings ' the grinch'...haha
