I couldn't give a toss what the story is about to be honest. The only thing I care about is whether they use the ORIGINAL RECORDINGS by the ORIGINAL ARTISTS. Something I thought everyone would care about. Boy was I wrong on that one.

alledgedly on the remake of the titanic quite a few scenes were digically enhanced Now can you imagine that in 'souled out' which interestingly enough by the look of the title might just have something to do with soul after all

try west side story or the 1996 version starring leonardo caprio.... (he was on the titanic too, strange coincidence that!)
  13. Centre stage Steve Cato if the little dudes want to learn and carry on the traditions that made this scene special for each and everyone of us with role models from those that want to teach and learn them, that in this world today aint no bad thing.
  14. nice reply Pete ">

Like has been said before by a few on here that probably went by the by, before it went off on a tangent, It aint about bitching and backbiting its about making sure that just for once someone who wants to invest in a film about our scene does it properly with the right music for the right era with the right scenes and portrays it as it was. Surely those that have a vested interest and have done for x number of years, can make comment, because after all they are the ones that have kept this scene going for as long as it has, they are the ones that have invested time, money and effort over the 30++ years, they are the bloody gate keepers and have the right to reply. Sadots original play once upon a time in wigan was done the right way the first time, this is why many of us respect what he did, because it was done with dignity and respect to a scene that many loved and still love. All too often, this scene of ours has been shafted by those that want to make a fast buck off the backs of others, whom have had a life long interest in it, and if we wanna protect it then why not?????
  17. hey my ickle cup cake .... wasnt that long ago that ya did one at skeg..... remember......lol ...... xxx

I take it the production team visited Kings Hall Stoke on a dedicated night to actually witness for themselves what a northern venue 'in full swing' looked like and I also assume that is what you are wanting for your production. I also assume that on the night in question IF you went was attended by the majority of souls all over the age of 35 plus. Would like to hear if you did.... I sometimes assume too much, Ah well of to the day job now to pay for taxes to the government...... ps If the position of hilda is still available Im yer woman...lol
  19. Good on the little dude is what I say and keep it up practise makes perfect .... Dancing such as this is what the bloody scene was known to be different for way back, along with the music of course. You had those that did brill backdrops, highkicks, spins etc etc....
  20. Any consolation to those affected, this is happening everywhere now... good venues having to close because they just cannot afford to be out of pocket every month, Soul nites popping up at every street corner, even ones moving into already established venues to try and make names for themselves.... must be about 6 odd nites in this city alone now every month ...
