Hi Malc Thanks once again for the information. It happened with The Gallop where years later the Vocal turned up. Obviously on this occasion "Thumb A Ride" remains Instrumental only. Which is no bad thing as it is a great Instrumental, however, thanks anyway, to you and others who have taken the time to search for a Vocal.

Hi Wilxy I thought that there might be some information available, I can't see anything on the labels to give any clues as to date. Regarding Thumb A Ride, now there's a thought was there ever a Vocal for Earl Wright? or any of the others Thumb A Ride - earl wright - capitol 13611 refosoul -----------------?-----------------

Hi Chalky Thanks once again, I have just had a look on GEMM Some Titles are described as Early Re-Issue, Doo-Wop, 2nd etc So it isn't a Re-Issue label, as such, then, as these two must have been released around the same time as the Golden World & Charger Label, I would assume.

Hi Miff My copy, does have a Matrix Stamp, which I'm still trying to read, very faint. It is Vinyl, the Label is Matt, which gives the Impression of age, but ?????

Hi Miff I bought the Dobie Gray last year as I hadn't seen one before. The only information that I could find, was that it is a Re-Issue Label. If it is a Re-Issue Label, I'm not sure when it was issued, or how many are about. I can't find out anything regarding what was issued on this Label.

Hi Miff As far as I am aware, this is a Re-Issue Label. The LANA copy has "Be A Man" on the B Side, the same as the Original
  12. Hi Dave, Hi John The world of the DEMO does appear to throw up many mysteries. There are quite a few that you just do not see, and then just one copy turns up. The recent Auction with the Tuff DEMO's for "R & B Time" & "Wait Till I Get To Know Ya" and of course the Ric-Tic 122 DEMO. All appear to be one virtual off's. On the scale of things I suppose that there can't have been just one copy ever made for certain titles. They must have had a very short run at the pressing plant.
  13. Hi I believe that they do both have the same backing.
  14. Hi The record arrived this morning, thanks Craig, and everyone else that helped me in my Quest No longer a missing DEMO in my collection.

I suppose that the same question applies, to the Golden World Label. Why no release on CD for the Soul output of this fine Label. Quite a few have been issued spread over different CD's

Hi Yes I am still sure that it would be a successful release, and long overdue. We are currently compiling the >>> Ric-Tic DEMO's on HitsvilleSoulClub <<< 103, 105, 109X & 120 to 128 Appear to be the hardest to acquire as a DEMO.

Hi Roccia Worth every penny if it was twice that in my opinion. A fantastic record, I loved it from the first time I heard it.
