  1. That's the only one I've seen without the rubber stamp production credit... Don't think there are loads of copies - I think it's just the same record which keeps popping up on ebay with Buy-It-Nows, reserves which don't get met etc. Plus this copy has been up on Fryers board, Soul Strut etc etc etc. So, to be honest, it would surprise me if there were loads found.
  2. Ebay - ha! Never even thought to look!!! Hmmm, wonder what Manship's finished at then...
  3. Yup, I know there's a copy finishing on Manship in 30 minutes BUT... I was hoping the (shock) price might tempt a copy out of the collection of a kindly soul on here? I only need 2 45s to complete my 100 Club 7" collection... "Sensible" prices invited... PMs please.
  4. Maybe Ashford & Simpson were pushing songs in the UK at this time, since The Carrolls "Surrender My Love" only got a UK release in 1966 - there's no US version (as far as I'm aware...)
  5. Montclairs is a slightly longer mix if memeory serves me correctly...
  6. Err, I've had this record for over 10 years and never played the flip... Think I'll try and find it!
  7. That Mary Love on Elco got two pressings, slightly different takes... Double siders for me would be: Pearl Dowdell "Good Things" / "It's All Over" (Saadia) - storming funk backed with crossover perfection Roosevelt Matthews "Tighten Up" / "You Got Me Digging You" (King) - ditto
  8. Never understood why this was called "Find Yourself Another Man" - what's she implying, like???
  9. Okay, getting back on thread - it worries me slightly that JM reckons it's rare. Been offered an EP, anyone got that regular release UK 7" for me???
  10. Is there not a copy for sale in the the SALES section now? £150? Maybe it's sold...
  11. Anyone? I'd prefer the regular release to the EP...
  12. So what price for an issue, then? Nobody wanting to stick their neck out, pretty rare I'd reckon...
  13. REDUCED TO £65 inc P&P - bargain!
  14. But who's seen an issue of this?
  15. Inferior to what???
  16. THELMA HOUSTON - self titled (UK Mowest MWS 7003) 1973 original (label has demonstration sticker) Inc. the unknown MONSTER 'Nothing left to give' This track is only on the UK and German releases - currently a VG+ copy is being offered at £100. This copy is a stunning MINT MINUS, sleeve EX. £75 (inc. P&P) PM me if interested... REDUCED TO £65 INC. P&P
  17. And what price would anyone place on an issue? Seems to be pretty rare... Can anyone refresh me with the story of the unreleased acetate LP with the long version. Or is this all that's to know, basically?
  18. Okay, sorted for Peggy Woods (TA!) - just two needed for the set? HELP!!!! 6T3 A - The Platters - Not My Girl 6T3 B - Sammy Ambrose - Welcome To Dreamsville 6T8 A - Chuck Jackson - What's With This Loneliness. 6T8 B - The Superb Strings - Surf And Soul.
  19. Seeing another Gene Washington WANTED thread reminded me that I'm looking for: Geno Washington "Different Strokes" (UK Pye 7N 17425) 1967 Should be a bit easier than "She Shot A Hole In My Soul", I'd imagine... Any PMs much appreciated.

It took me quite a while to find this - seems to be quite tricky, as you are no doubt finding out. Err, sorry - that doesn't really help. You could always make do with The Hollies version in the meantime...

  22. Beautiful copy in NM condition, sleeve still in shrink: LP BOBBY STORY (aka BOBBY PATTERSON) "The Storyteller" (US Proud PR-1001) 1982 US pressing SOLD Great modern soul, on this privately pressed Texas label. UK P&P included, paypal preferred. PMs please.
  23. Wendel Western "Nag On Me" On Soul Sauce Well, looks like Mr. Manship's auctions is starting to flush a few copies out. I suspect that more people have this in their collections than first realised. I mean, who wouldn't pick up a 45 if the label was called "Soul Sauce"??? So, after missing Souljazera's copy, and now Boba's copy, I'm hoping that someone out there has a nice, reasonably priced copy they can let go? Like buses, I'm sure the third will be along in just a moment... Any PM's much appreciated...
  24. And so do you! Thanks for the replies, hopefully can get the collection a bit nearer to completion...
  25. Drat - missed Souljazzera's copy, and thought about putting a post in the wanted section. I presume this is now sold?
