  5. now this is what I mean, now John @ past & present can't be bothered to sort the records out, so it is down to the punters, as I said earlier there must be some Gems waiting in here !!!! JB
  6. Now small Record Shops are a thing of the past, In the area that I live West Herts there used to be loads of Record Shops within a 15 mile Radius F.L.Moores in Dunstable, Leighton Buzzard, Luton & Past & Present in Watford, Sadly most of them have gone but Past & Present is still around, Now in Hatfield Road North Watford WD24 4DB, They sell all the up to date CD releases @ competative prices, Now this shop has Piles & Piles of Vinyl 7" & 12" spanning the last 50 years or so, Years back Mick Boland used to work here & records like Panic & Tough Girl to name but a few came out of this shop & exposed to the Northern Scene, The best thing about this shop now is John who runs the shop has 2 Stereos out the back so you can play the things you don't know !!!! I wouldn't mind betting there are a few Gems hidden in this shop, There is a lot of stuff that is sorted but there are a lot that are misfiled, John is still buying in Collections & there are piles & piles in here, If you have the time this is the place 01923 352765

  12. Rob is a good Bloke, & a good DJ, & yes he must go down as a good Oldies DJ, in fact last time I saw Rob Messer was @ The Dome & his first record in his set was a Classic Oldie, in fact it could have been the oldest record I have ever heard @ a Northern Do ...."Ain't Nobody Here But Us Chickens" Louise Jordan I think & from a year after my birth 1957....Rob does know how to get the crowd going, & they certainly moved to this one.... 2 DJ's who for me are @ The Top when good Oldies are the order of the day are... Steve Whittle & Brian Rae~when playing Vinyl~ Jon Buck
