Backing Singers That Take Part In The Song Story
Always love tunes where the backing singers take part in the story of the song, if you know what I mean. 2 that work for me are: Mary Wells - Im sorry - 20th Century.... The backing singers play the part of the guy who's come to say sorry. Lovlites - My Concience ..... The backing singers are Patti's concience tryin to keep her right. Please would some kind soul put these 2 beautys up for me, thanks. Any more?

Allan Sisters - Downtown Crowd - Canadian Quality
Bought a copy on Quality from Colin Law at Allanton about 88/89 for £110. Sold it a couple of years later £100 worth of swaps to Carl Fortnum. Who I think still has it, on Quality it can't be worth any less than 1.5k. Dead rare on Quality.

Original Sleeves?
Took me a long time to pick up sleeve for END.... The label design that Lenny Curtis/ Harry Starr are on. Had to pay a fiver for it, which I thought was ok as it's hard to find.

A very confusing subject....av seen out and out ballads advertised for sale in this genre also.- The Voicemasters
Great stuff... Small world... Love the voicemasters stuff. Would someone please put up.. " you've hurt me baby" ... Top tune!!- Sometimes I Wish
Sometimes I wish I'd never started collecting records.... I've been very lucky in picking up some nice tunes over the years, even adding my alltime fav tune to the collection. Like most collectors on here I've sold a few and regreted it, but I always dive straight back into the collecting game right after I've promised myself I won't buy another. I love northern, rare soul or soul or whatever you want to call it..... Probably more than a passion, more a disease. I just can't fathom it out, one day it's a complete joy. Other days I'll give the record boxes a nasty look other days a look of complete and utter love. I'm chuffed with what sounds I've kept and added to the collection. Is it just ego or just so deep rooted in my blood that I keep collecting... Wish I new!!! But sometimes I do wish I'd never started! Andy- 70's 80's Soul Now Listed
