Hi Kenneth, I`ve a regular soul night in Edinburgh on the first Sunday of every month.The music is right across the board.I`ts at THE STREET on the top of Broughton street. Free entry,on till 1 and the drink is well priced. The owner is a big Club DJ and is delighted to have something like this on every month,so she gives us it for nothing.Hense the free entry. I think your right about the other 2 goodys on the lable,I`m sure I mentioned the FD LP and the Guiness lable struck an immediate chord with you.But that was at Shotts about 16 years ago and I don`t think there was much info on the lable then so to have that info then was kinda impressive. Kenneth,the Lp is called " Yesterdays People " and definately came out in 1977.I`ve had my copy for about 18 years and was told by Jock O`Connor at the time that it was a rare number to track down.He said there were another couple of Lp releases on the lable of which I think this was the first. I cant remember what the other 2 were that he said but i do remember him saying those were dog rare.It was released on Guinness records as you said.It looks to me like it`s been a smaller independant lable as it`s been disributed by Delwood records,out of New York.The release number is GNS 36001.
