  2. Hey everyone! We are all really excited for tomorrow night's 3rd edition of 'The Room at The Top'! We thought we would share some details, especially for our first-time attendees: Doors Open at 11pm: Unfortunately, we can't open the doors open any earlier due to the space being occupied by four bands earlier in the evening. We'll be getting things ready at 10:30pm, ensuring the equipment is sorted, and the dance floor is cleaned and prepped! Pre-Party Spot: If you're looking for a pre-party spot, head over to MG Blues 5th Anniversary All-Dayer at The English Lounge, Manchester, M4 1EA. Most folks are gathering here before our doors open at 11pm. Dress to Dance: Get ready to turn up the heat! It's going to be hot, hot, hot, so dress accordingly and be prepared to dance! Limited Seating: Seating is limited, but feel free to grab a spot along the front of the stage. We'll be rearranging the decks to create more space for everyone. Ticket Reminder: Please, please, please don't forget to get a ticket! As of now, we have just ONE ticket left. No tickets will be available at the door, and entry without a wristband is a no-go for safety reasons. Let's avoid any disappointment at the entrance. Toilet Locations: For those who were on a quest for the toilets last time, unisex toilets are located near the dance floor, and on the 3rd floor of Attama, you'll find separate male and female facilities. Get ready for an incredible night! Let's make it a night to remember!

  12. The new soulful happening in central Manchester - The Room at The Top! This regular soul gathering, hosted by the next generation of soul obssesives, upholds the traditional values of the all-nighter scene; original, first-issue vinyl, late-night dancing, a dark and dimly lit atmosphere, intimate backstreet venues, with the music taking centre stage! Our 'home' base is attama, the venue that was once the residence of the legendary black bee soul club. However, the Room at The Top 'brand' extends its reach to other venues across Manchester, such as Night&Day Cafe on Manchesters Oxford Road. Join us on Saturday, 17th February, as we set the stage for our main attama event happening on the following weekend. DJs, including Connor White, Jordan Wilson, and the debut of Aimee Turner, alongside others! The music and dancing kick off at 11pm and continue until 3am. Best of all, entry is free! 21. Thank you so much to everyone who joined us for the second installment of 'The Room At The Top.' It's hard to put into words how incredible it feels to be a part of promoting such a refreshing event like this. Saturday night demonstrated how cities like Manchester are currently experiencing an amazing resurgence in young people being interested in soul music! We were also so happy to have many long-distance travelers with us, including friends from Bristol, Scotland, Sheffield, Blackpool, and Wigan! Varying ages and at different points in their soul music journey - all gathered under one roof! The way it should be! Our two guest DJs, Ben Owen and Sam McEwen, absolutely rocked the place too! They delivered an incredible mix of music, spanning from classic Northern Soul 'oldies' to funky edge dancers and Motown spins. Ben, who hadn't been behind the decks for a while, truly set the bar high! We will return on Saturday 24th February next year, and we're thrilled to announce that our guest DJ will be our good friend Nathan Pickard. Keep an eye out for ticket availability as we get closer to the date!
  22. Looking for a pre-The Room at The Top warm up? Join Darren Sykes at The Piccadilly Tap, (located just outside Manchester's Piccadilly station). An ideal place to meet up before The Room At The Top, which kicks off at 11pm. Darren will be there from 6pm until late! The Soul City is alive this weekend! We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.
