It would have to be .... Don gardner - Cheatin Kind, and Court davis, and Eric mercury
  2. I think perspectives can and do change. I have always loved listening to my sounds at home, in the car, wherever. I also used to love going out to venues and the social side of the scene. I used to love DJ'ing to share my sounds with others and occasionally show off. Nowadays though, I think I would rather stick pins in my head than go to a venue. But I listen to my records as much as, if not more than, I ever did. And as I listen alone I choose the playlist Phil
  3. So £800 is too much basically? Cheers
  4. OK. £'s waiting. even though I don't buy 45's anymore
  5. Parisians - Twinkle Little Star. Anybody got one for sale? How much? cheers Phil
  6. I must stress it is the Rockabilly, Danny & The Junior, greasy quiff waving type of RnB that i don't like. There ain't nothing wrong with a little bump n grind however
  7. It would appear that we do - amazing. However my finding RnB for the most part tedious and distasteful obviously still doesn't qualify me to have an opinion on anything
  8. Liking R n B? I agree you deffo should be banged up for that
  9. I have mostly been listening to rubbish
  10. Very sorry Chief Inspector Pikeys Dog of the Soul Police. I obviously haven't got a clue about soul, northern soul or even music in general. I will in future stop posting and bothering you soul gurus and just watch on in wonder, with a forlorn hope of maybe learning something. Once again, my apologies.
  11. It was made in 2007, not 1967. The backing doesn't sound electronic to me, sounds like real instruments. Some of it sampled maybe but real instruments nonetheless. But why dissect it like this. it's a damn good northern dance track IMO, and I'm sure plenty would get up and dance to it, were it played out. Phil
  12. If you didn't know it was a Levine track would it still stink? I think it's really good. A good dancers track.
  13. Finally managed to do a sound file. I know how to do 'em off vinyl no probs, but never done one off a CD before. Track_No13.mp3
  14. It's not mine it's Babelfish's
  15. Sorry, I have no sense of humour
  16. Ah. I see now. Sorry, I'm from the backside end of CleckHuddersFax. Takes a little time for it to sink in
  17. I know. You prised mine off me at Yorskhire Rider a few years back - remember? Phil
  18. What? If I state an opinion or express a liking for a record that you don't agree with or like I'm on Levine's payroll? Anyone who really knows me would tell you that just is not the way I work. If Ian was paying me (not that I would take his or anyone elses money) I still wouldn't pretend to like something that I didn't. You're raving up the wrong tree my friend.

I have one. I'll send it in two separate parcels if you like Ted
  20. The question was "What record you have heard recently that has this affect of you ? " Surely you heard these a bit longer ago than recently? That's why I mentioned the Noel McKoy track. Phil
  21. Too right matey. Wouldn't think of not visiting your good selves. You'll have to PM me your address & phone no. Phil
  22. What don't you like about this particular track? To my ears it's got everything. Have you heard it?
  23. Too right Anyway records aside I am looking forward to spending my Christmas day at Cocoa Beach in the Sunshine Stae this year Can't wait. Phil
  24. I have a copy of this (Ventura's) for sale if anyone's interested? Phil
