  1. Any Marvin Gaye played in any Modern Room is always a treat to hear and this track "Heavy love affair" is no exception. Just absolutely brilliant.
  2. Yes me to.
  3. TUUUUUNE. Gary Bartz "Keep goin' on" always loved it.
  4. Hi Kev, I had a similar situation when I tried to get a Celeste Hardy for my wife, but the seller said he'd prefer cash. BOOM BOOM I'm here all week lol
  5. Yes of course Mick, it's my favourite version as well, nice one for reminding me.
  6. Not just current floor shakers but classics from way back when, like this one from Stemmons Express and a possible selection in Robbos play box. He can play either side for me...
  7. Simon will you be playing The Versatones "Rollin Rollin" at Culcheth........ If not.......Then can I have it please... you know I'll look after it lol I could only find this one with both sides uploaded on you tube but both sides are great so no problem, Rollin Rollin's on 2nd.
  8. This was lurking in the same box, it's been so long since I played them it's like having 2 new records.
  9. The Accents "You better think again"Just found this lurking in a cardboard box at home, this was always my preferred side

Mick and if he does a J Slipmat (sorry John) and plays the wrong side then that's no detriment as that sides great as well.
  11. J.J.Caillier Pusherman, played as a newish release in the 70's at places like Cleethorpes Pier, Blackpool Mecca etc now fast forward 45years to Culcheth and it still did the business dancefloor wise and is a firm favourite of Mick & Angie and will no doubt get played again this month.
  12. Here's one that I personally haven't heard played out for a while. not rare but brilliant and a definite for the next Culcheth
  13. Simon what's the chance Robbo will give Guitar Ray a spin, make sure he brings it with him.
  14. Surprised Simon, The only thing that surprised me about it was I didn't know it until you played it at Culcheth a couple of years ago. Edwin where have you been all my life. lol
  15. It was great to see Rob Haigh last month and this classic from Porgy & the Monarchs was greeted with his usual enthusiasm. Hopefully this will get you in the mood for the next one.
  16. I seem to remember a banner above the stage that said "ANOTHER BOOOOOOOOOMING GREAT SUCCESS". I always wondered what happened to that banner?

Simon, Will I have to force you to play Dennis Edwards I love both sides but I know you prefer this one.
  18. Good choice Jordan, another great record that hasn't been hammered over the years. I just wish I'd thought of it. lol
  19. Fourth Level ~ Deep South gets a massive thumbs up from me. Love it.
  20. Simon so you're saying you, me Mick and I'm pretty sure Kev's got one, anybody else?....I thought these records were supposed to be bloody rare.lol
  21. Baz, will we have the pleasure of hearing Wee ~ Try me in the modern room this Saturday, I remember Steve P playing it at Lowton back in the day and it always sounds fantastic.
  22. Honey & The Bees ~ Dynamite Exploded, classic northern destined for the main room this Saturday
  23. A legendary dj once called a taxi for Earnest Moseley over the mike when it cleared the dancefloor at Burnley many years ago. probably the only time that ever happened. If I had to choose between the two, well I was brought up on Mr Moseley but I can see why a young whipper snapper like Simon would choose the latter.
  24. YES,YES,YES Simon no problem.
  25. I'm not sure if King Earnest is still in Stu's play box but it's a top top tune. I love it.
