  1. Wowser, Culcheth seems to have come around so quickly - the night has been building and building in the last few months (deservedly) so expect another busy one on Saturday! Nice to see Steve Thomas guesting in the main room and Chris Box no doubt delivering the goods in the modern room alongside dark horse Charlie Smith..... All in all not to be missed - see you all there
  2. Eddiefoster commented on Pep's event in Allnighters

Class - we always had great adventures getting to and from the nighters, many a memory of getting lost but having a ball 😆
  3. Eddiefoster commented on Pep's event in Allnighters

Risky - always seems to be dibble there but yes in theory
  4. What's not to like! - going from strength to strength and deservedly so IMHO, looking forwards to seeing Mr Thomas, here's one I first heard him play back in the 90s....not sure if he was the first but it always reminds me of him 🎶
  5. Eddiefoster commented on Pep's event in Allnighters

I'm not sure I'll have to check through the labels to see, deffo got some from the deep South and Mid-West, West Coast too
  6. Eddiefoster commented on Pep's event in Allnighters

Soooo looking forwards to another installment at Keele this weekend, I said it last time but it's one of those venues that brings back great memories of hot sweaty nighters, great atmosphere and banging choons......The last one was excellent - better dust down the playbox I guess!! requests welcome (including play summat we know 🤣)
  7. Another typical Robbo selection to rock the place to its foundations
  8. Of course but I was hoping to build the intrigue 🤣🤣 - we could have run a book with Robbo as the odds on favourite ..
  9. It wouldn't be a mystery if you knew - obviously she's a lady of great taste though 😎 Reckon you could work it out on the night from her excursions to the dancefloor LOL
  10. This one can finish a triplet of Robbo selections for the night - what's not to like???
  11. Never fails to please the floor - another piece of smooth Robbo magic (please 🙏)
  12. One from the Robbo stables. Dark horse that he is, underestimated by many but a big influence nonetheless 😎
  13. Yet another great night on the cards at Ashton - never fails to hit the spot!! With guests like Gibby & Col, Tony Mac and Robbo lined up I expect the dance floor to be alight again - looking forwards to it as always 🎶
  14. This one can fool a few onto the dance floor and then they're committed 🤣
  15. I do but I want another one Bob - panic buying again 🤣
  16. Some words from the original Morecambe Pier and Soul Promotions promoter Shaun Gibbons: Since the all-nighters in Morecambe ceased in the 1990’s I’ve often been asked whether I would be interested in putting anything on again and have to admit that it’s something that’s been developing as an idea in more recent years as I’ve started to enjoy venturing out again as many of us have, meeting familiar faces from the past and making new friends along the way. 2023 marks the 40th anniversary of the first Morecambe Central Pier all-nighter and to mark the occasion it seemed fitting to pull together all the ideas and launch an event returning to almost where it all started. Obviously, the Pier isn’t an option as sadly it burnt down, but the final venue we moved to in Morecambe afterwards, was equally great in its own way, THE CARLTON!! And we’re proud to announce that we’ve secured it to celebrate the anniversary (Although they have changed the name to the Alhambra , but we’ll ignore that, this IS the Carlton!). So, on Saturday 15th April 2023, we are going to do it all again, with original Pier DJ’s, 2 rooms and wooden sprung dancefloor (you can’t see the sea between the floorboards – we couldn’t get it perfect). So, this is it, the return of ‘Soul Promotions’ to Morecambe. If you liked the Pier and the Carlton, then here’s your chance to do it all again and just like every anniversary, there’s even patches to add to your collections. What made ‘The Pier’ and ‘The Carlton’ so special was the people who came, so you know the date we can’t wait to see faces old and new, you didn’t have to attend the original events to enjoy the wonderful music; everyone is welcome. See you all there! Shaun & the Soul Promotions team.
  17. Gave this an outing last time, great Northern dancer from the same stables as Lonnie Lester - maybe worth another push with the Culcheth faithful will get the response it deserves from the floor (my humble opinion of course! 🙏)
  18. I can't keep the needle on the CDs Bob!!!! - you'll have to give me a lesson (another one LOL) Maybe time to give this underplayed gem another outing I've only got it on vinyl though Bob 🙄
  19. Back from the bank holiday break so it's definitely time to start dusting down the playbox!!!! - now where did I put it 🤔 Is that an official request Mick? - I'm deffo taking them for Saturday night saves me having to think too much 🤣 and also I can blame you 🙃
  20. .
