  1. One thing I noticed regarding the "DJ COPY" stamp is that it's on the "Wrapped" side on the one John just auctioned but it's on the "Tomorrow" side on Discogs (which is presented as the A-side) And does anyone have a soundfile of the "Tomorrow" side ? I've hunted high and low but can't find one anywhere on line.

The best Stafford TOTW page on FB is to be this one ... https://www.facebook.com/groups/309422225735017 But Karl's site above is by far the best reference site online (or anywhere else) regarding the all-niters on Newport Rd ...
  3. Very random reel on FB just now ... mushy soul.mp4
  4. There's a few proper ones out there but can't remember who has them and are DJing with them apart from Sam , but given that it's a demo , in near mint condition and that there were at least two deep-pocketed punters after it I wasn't overly surprised it rocketed , it was sitting at about £5000 at just before six 'o' clock and then took off.
  5. For a real one and a demo at that , absolutely it is , hundreds of wannabees out there with £10 repros though , a highlight of every set from Mr Barnfather ...

  12. Great show Alan ... Can't help but say though that the opening 2 minutes of background reminded me of being on hold , waiting for HMRC to answer the phone ...
  13. Steve hasn't been on Soul Source for over three year now.
  14. YouTube link for the non-Facebookers.
  15. The combination of tiny , tinny laptop speakers , squashed mp3s and middle-aged ears is a distinctly disadvantageous one when it comes to deciphering this sort of detail , of that there's no denying ...
  16. Especially considering there are seven releases credited to Cresa on the Charay label , some with multiple versions. The Martha Starr label looks to be a dodgy one to my eyes , and its catalogue number C-35 is repeated a few times on Charay which is also a tad strange. Could the Martha then be the 'fake' one , with hookey labels printed in an attempt to get inside some poor girls drawers ... ?

Actually you knew you full well you were spending the money outright on records , not lending anyone anything.

The number comes from John himself , so if you're going to start calling the man a liar now I think you're overstepping a mark somewhat ...
