This event and all future events have found a new date and a new home in Denton We have arranged the SECOND SUNDAY of each month at our fabulous new venue DENTON WEST END SOCIAL CLUB , 53 GROSVENOR ST , DENTON , M34 3WN The seventh one is on sunday the 8th March 2020 at 3 pm prompt and finishing just before 8pm (at 7-45pm) Music Policy - Northern Soul , Soul , Wheel , Sixties soul classics , R n B , Motown , forgotten oldies , a few modern as well almost 5 hours of wonderful music for just £5 , massive free car park and convenient bus stops close by as well the Stagecoach 201 or 204 bus service can drop you off either on Manchester Road (opposite Churchgate Surgery and Christ Church) if coming from town, or just past the traffic lights at Christ Church if coming from Hyde or Denton or Haughton Green The club is less than 5 minutes from any of the nearby bus stops and less than 10 minutes walk from Crown Point or the C P Shopping Centre It also has a huge free car park with very easy access from Seymour Street , or from Taylor Lane, plus from Manchester Road too If coming by car from Denton Rock roundabout (M60 or Hyde Road) , choose the local A road past Malbern and Pugbitz ,not the M67 Motorway to Hyde If coming from Hyde or from Bredbury , head for Manchester from Crown point crossroads, turn right just after Christ Church , then right again we thank you for your custom and look forward to seeing old faces and many new ones too , all are welcome as we are a friendly bunch, so say Hello KTF Pete , Harry , Brian & Alexis , plus Linda and Vicky on the door

I regularly look on discogs for records but I agree with the above that some of the prices being asked are ridiculous, so I look elsewhere to obtain them eg:- I have just bought one on ebay UK which even with postage costs was a lot less then the cheapest discogs price (which the discogs one didnt include the postage either - so postage and packing was extra and would have cost me several pounds more for the same item) if most (but not all) discogs sellers got real with their prices they would sell many more records , but I suspect the green eyed monster of greed gets the better of them and I know this to be true over a Dee Dee Warwick record I bought on there recently , where I offered half the highest price it was on there for to another seller with a "make me an offer" option, that highest price had not budged in over 2 years until recently. my offer to the alternative seller was accepted, so why would I pay another discogs seller twice the price ? I have no idea about the USA taxes though , but I assume it could be worse for buyers and sellers in the prices being asked for (but not necessarily paid as buyers may shy away even further unless the prices being asked for come down to a more realistic level) - I have found that the Canadian sellers are usually more reasonable in their expectations and will help the buyers too

it doesnt peeve me at all I have bought dozens of records that have arrived in recycled mailers and I think it should be more widely adopted rather than "single use" only you will have noticed the trend for recycling with water bottles and other items like is being publicised for Glastonbury this year I believe that new ones should only be used if no alternative exists and I commend those that recycle their mailers

Big Macy posted one the other day, listed on page 2 now, but its flagged as sold Athleticsdad had one for sale which is currently on evilbay at a good price that I would have paid as I offered that price to him about 10 days ago by pm due to me spotting one on f-book at the same price which sold quickly, but as with most people offering these for sale the prices quoted seem inflated to me and I turned most of my pm orders down , except the one I bought from here which came recently and I played out last night in Hyde good luck
