Detroit 67 ........Clayton "Peg Leg" Bates
Just finished reading the book Page 39 refers "Like many kids growing up in Detroit the young Gordy had a soft spot for Clayton "Peg Leg" Bates, a one legged dancer whose leg was crudely amputated on his mothers kitchen table after an accident in a cotton field". Brilliant! would have loved to see him dancing to the Motown sounds.

Help with a couple of Crossover Records
I wrote down some cryptic notes turns that I cannot trace, so I think I must have them wrong First is Jimmy Thompson Giving up on Love (I have Lady L written next to it) Cannot find it on Youtube.
