  1. Johnny & the Baa Baas - Move Along - on Frankie This is just 1 minute 45 seconds long Good record though, just very short. Any improvements on that?
  2. No way 'Woe Woe Woe' came out in 1951 Ezzie. You must be thinking of That Old Black Magic, which is the flipside to Woe Woe Woe, which probably did get released in 1951 but is a 1965 (I think) remix of that '51 release. Not 100% sure about my facts but I don't think I'm that far wrong.
  3. No idea. I just have it listed on an Academy record label discography as 120.
  4. I have the following listed on Academy at 120; 120 Tommy Vannand the Echos PrettyFlamingo I'll Forget Her Tomorrow Yours is defo 120???
  5. Any chance you could PM me a sound file of each side? Doesn't have to be the whole record but would be nice if it was. :o) Seems they also did another on the label, as follows; do you know it? Academy 114 - Inside O' Me / Two Can Play The Same Game - 1965

It actually cost him $3.50 But It Now and $6.00 postage and packing. Sold it for either £1300 or £1500 to a well known dealer, who I believe then sold it on for more than £3000. I can check the details of that last sentence with John if anybody's interested?
  7. That's cheap!!!
  8. I have this 45 that looks pretty bad but plays great BUT it has a small 5mm long by 3mm deep chip out of the outside edge of the record and I am looking for the best way to fill in this gap with something that can be applied whilst still pliable but then sets hard after a short while. The chip does not quite reach the start of the groove but I am afraid in time it might develop a crack that will spread inwards. Hence the need for this fill in. Has anybody on here had experience of what I'm attempting to do and can they offer some advice. All suggestions will be warmly received. Constructive suggestions only please. :o) Thanks.
  9. Okay, I've read all the postings on this topic and nobody has considered the possibility that the seller might be ill (swine flu) or on holiday. The situation is made more excitable by the fact that you've won a good record at a cheap price. My advice would be to give the seller more time and try to calm down.

  12. Have sent you a PM already. A snippet is fine Pete, thanks.
  13. Looking forward to the sound file now. Check your PMs
  14. You bar steward. You being sarcastic or just having me on. Either way, you had me well fooled.
  15. Yes thanks Pete, I'd love to hear it. Please PM me a sound file. Thanks. So that scan is the actual release then? How did you suss that out?

Hi Tommy, Yes, I seem to be okay with stuff up to about 1974. Not sure what year this one was released but it IS one of my all time favourites. No chance you have a 45 of this? Dennis. PS - How's things over there. Miss Oslo like you wouldn't know. All my love to Ingrid and Oskar. Was hoping to make it over as a Guest at Soggy's Mod Weekender but once again, my family holiday has taken precedence.

One of my favourite tracks but only have it on the Lp. Would much prefer the 45 if I can track one down and that's if it exists at all.

Yeah, my pal Kev found a minter less than a year ago at Spitafileld Market for £1. Sadly sold it for a large amount the same week before I had a chance to find out about it and buy it off him for myself. FCUK!!!
  19. Thanks mark. Are we talking about Jonathan Capree or General Johnson? Gareth x? Is that his Soul Source name? Yes it is, I've since checked. I'll try Paul Sadot as well. Has he got a Soul Source name? If not, got an email address for him that you could PM me?
  20. Roger Banks played it at the Hideaway Mod Weekender easily a year ago now. Not heard it since. Was tidying up my 'notes' on scraps of paper a couple of weeks ago and decided I'd try and track a copy down. Anybody out there with a copy for sale? PM me please.
