I own and operate We Buy Records in Milwaukee, WI, USA.
I also am co-owner and operator of Strange Town, a plant-based bistro and natural wine bar.
I have been DJing soul music since the late 90s, my monthly event The Get Down (named for local singer Harvey Scales' tune) was started in 2003 and is still going strong. We play anything from early 60s R+B and blues through classic and underplayed 60s soul, crossover, modern, boogie and even a bit of latin and afro. We typically have a packed club of 20-30-something who don't know much about Soul music but have loads of energy and on a good night are very open minded!
