What a record - just caught up with this on Mick O'Donnels Soul Discovery show and truly a fantastic song which I believe is due for release in the near future. What with the incredible David Sea & Rozetta Johnson 45s hats off to Paul Mooney for pulling these things out of the vaults. Am sure I Speak for many in that these sort of releases need to be fully supported! Apologies for the rant but I find it all very exciting! Oh and the new CL Blast & Tommy Tate CD's from Soulscape! I hardly think they are 'Over the top' nor 'hysterical insults' - If your going to cover a particulary great soul track from one of THE artists of our times you better make it good or you going to leave yourself wide open for criticism from soul music lovers. But then of course if the business is really about getting young Kelly a new Porsche then our personal criticism is hardly going to make a dent in sales is it? It's aimed at a pop market who wouldn't even think it had been done before let alone compare the versions.
