Last Ever Record Played At Venues
At the Mecca it was "California Montage" by the Young Holt Unlimited, may very well be the most played last record ever considering the Mecca went on for so long............................

Weldon A. Mcdougal Iii
The very first real Northern Soul record I ever heard was a WMCD deal, Groovin' at the go go - Alan S was playing it on my first visit to the Cats at Wolverhampton Have to say I've fallen in love with "Another chance", "Rain" & Uptown re-recording of "Unbelievable" since then.

General Johnson Rip
Dave As a kid growing up in soul-starved London in the late 60s and very early 70s Invictus & Hot Wax kept us going, his voice, so unique, seem to remember the H-D-H gang saying that him & Levi Stubbs were the greatest singers they'd ever worked with. Oh well another one gone.

General Johnson Rip
One of souls' mega stars from the Showmen to Chairman of the board, what a talent, what a voice, we'll see him in that big all-nighter in the sky.....

I saw Keith (he didn't see me) in an Indian in New Haw with his wife and kids Yes they were pretty crazy kids alright...........................- Nolan Chance- Just Like The Weather
Mike Ritson and I did some research on this yonks ago, I can't remember the complete outcome but it appears to be a re-issue after Constellation went bust and BS made copies, sort of personl demos and tried to hawk them around the record companies trying to get a national release. A bent 70s boot is it not.......................................- Pantiles (club) Closed Forever 14 July 2007
Then you must have known Pete & Keith Hussey ? They all used to go down to the Portsmouth Marina too, an all-nighter. I lived in Walton-on-Thames for a bit and yes the Atta did have a pointy roof, well done !! The floor of the Atta used to bend if too many people came on to it and started moonstomping There was one bloke (I'll think you'll find his name on this thread somewhere) from Addletsone who, for a southerner had quite a tasty collection in 1970 Can't remember his name, Steve something meethinks.- Pantiles (club) Closed Forever 14 July 2007
